Americare denies the whistleblowers' allegations and says the state qualified the Golds for Medicaid based on doctor’s orders.Whistleblowers are on the warpath against Americare.
The Flatbush home care agency with a troubled past is back to its old Medicaid billing tricks, they charged — with one ploy right out of “The War of the Roses.”
A company bigwig advised Jack and Goldie Gold to divide their Flatbush home with a wall so Medicaid would pay for two home healthcare aides.
“It was suggested,” the elderly couple’s daughter Chani Gold told the Daily News.
New York state tries to control Medicaid costs by limiting coverage to one health aide per home.
Three different whistleblowers have made Medicaid fraud allegations to law-enforcement groups, sources told the News.
The state Attorney General and the Brooklyn U.S. Attorney’s office declined to prosecute the Kings Highway firm in 2010, but allowed the accusers to bring cases on the government’s behalf.
One has filed a lawsuit; the other two are hiring lawyers and plan to sue, sources said.
The suits will take aim at Americare CEO Elly Kleinman - a major player in the Orthodox Jewish community with close ties to the state’s top Jewish lobbyist organization, Agudas Yisroel.
Americare has been in the hot seat before over Medicaid billing practices.
Then-Attorney General Eliot Spitzer fined the company a whopping $7 million in 2005 after his investigators found Americare billed for bogus hours at adult homes for eight years.
As attorney general, Cuomo also fined Americare $8 million in 2008 for falsely claiming home health aides had been trained to care for Medicaid patients.…
Fines for Medicaid fraud? That's all they get? Fines? The Federal Government should investigate why this big company got away with major Medicaid fraud in the millions by only paying some fines, under 2 state attorney generals (who then went on to be governers). Something doesn't smell right here. Can you spell Corruption?

B"H
Abracadabra-
You are accusing Governor Cuomo of corruption?
Maybe they got fines because govt knew nothing criminal happened.
If everytime some genius like you thinks someone should go to jail America will end up with more citizen per capita in jail than any other country including communist china, russia, iran, iraq, syria, etc etc
Oh oops we already have that.
This system is broken.

Its not that they didn't send anyone, they helped aided and did whatever. They just did not have the paper saying that they got certified - A technical legal way to collect huge fines.
But Shmarya could not make headlines by explaining that so he makes it seem like he billed for bogus work. Well...............

Hi y'all,
Do your homework on the Obama-Rezko connection, etc and then come back and report to us how innocent his dealings are. No Presidential hopeful would do all that and get away with it, right?
All people see what they want to see and hear what they want to hear and do what they want to do.
Obama won the election not once, but twice!
The house Obama lives in and the salary and perks arent as good as Kleinman's? Oh, ok.
Next, lets start taking apart the crook in the White House.

Among Haredim, there's a heter (loophole) to (indirectly) steal from a goy. If in a transaction or sale, a goy gives you more money than he should, the yid can say I'm relying on your computation, without notifying the goy that he made a mistake.
