Reform Claims Orthodox Started Fake Reform Synagogue To Deceive Government
The Reform Movement in Europe claims that an Orthodox group in Poland started a fake "independent" Reform synagogue that is not in any way Reform or Progressive. The Orthodox allegedly did this to appear to be pluralistic in the hope that the Polish government will divert funds from the real pluralistic Jewish community and give them to the Orthodox.
The JTA has the long, twisted report here.
Reform Claims Orthodox Started Fake Reform Synagogue To Deceive Government
I don't see how a synagogue can be a fake reform shul yet be orthodox. Did the shul have a mechitza or not to start with. Was there mixed seating?

These pseudo-Jewish (and actually pseudo-human) creations brought Holocost to normal Jewish people and may be even the Second World War to billions of human beings.

My comment was posted in the wrong place. It was supposed to be about the bigotry of NY hasidic community.

Nowhere in the article is there an indication that the reform synagogue is not a reform synagogue. It is merely an administrative argument.
With Jews ya gotta follow the money.
I wish we had an umbrella org. for all jews here, but the Orthodox rabbis of the USA nixed it many moons ago.

The first clue something was wrong was that there were regular services and two sets of dishes in the kitchen.

The shul is definitely Reform. They skip the 2nd "Yekum Perkan" at musaph. That's like eating chazar trief. (/humor)

Mr. Pista,
Allow me please to introduce you the comma, a very useful punctuation mark indeed. Using it, will enable even you, to write in the English language so that others can understand your point. Basic rules for use of the comma can be found here:
http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/commas.htm
It would behoove you to learn the language of your adopted country.

DBnonSeq,
We judge jancs by the content of his character, not the color of his grammar.
If you are so concerned about acquiring the language and culture of this country's how's about about re-diverting some pilfered public funds back from the yeshivas to the public schools, Danny?

Jancs:
I've always understood what you post; content and passion trumps punctuation.

DB, what is it, morning recess? You have trained your circadian clock to be accustomed to being the playground bully at recess. This type of thing won't look so thrilling to you when it appears in your sentencing report.
You never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

I was in Warsaw last week and had coffee with Rabbi Stas Wojciechowicz of Ec Chaim. I also met with some of the leadership (but not the rabbi) of Beit Warszawa.
There are several ways to look at the situation.
EC sees itself as a break off from BW. The claim by former members of BW is that it is tightly controlled by a small clique, and they broke away to get away from that. BW is, however, only the Warsaw congregation recognized by the WUPJ (World Union for Progressive Judaism).
EC operates, as stated in the article, out of the Chief Rabbi's office (the Union of Jewish Religious Communities). They seem to have autonomy for their davvening (I didn't davven with them - I spent Shabbos is Krakow where, unfortunately, you-know-what has taken over the shul, ironically using Nusah Ari in the Rema's own congregation).
So is it that the Reform hierarchy in Poland, Europe, and the US doesn't like its shuls subject to Orthodox rabbis? That is a sensible attitude.
On the other hand, having them work in cooperation with each other seems like a good thing. But can that last?
A telling moment: the President of BW has his own BW Presidential business cards! Who ever heard of a shul president with shul business cards? No wonder the EC folks left BW.
There were many shuls in pre-War Warsaw. I think 7 stand today, not all functioning as shuls. We take it as a given that big cities have many shuls. The Reformim, it seems, would prefer to have just one per city. In the best of all worlds, that might be preferred; or maybe not.
Anybody want to buy my leftover zlotys?

DBSesq, how about being less self-righteous and judgemental on others?
If you were not born in a country and their language wasn't your mother tongue,I am sure you would not be pleased to be embarassed by a self-righteous prick like yourself!
