Every day, early in the morning, volunteers will be driving the donations to areas in Brooklyn and the greater New York City area that are in need.
Items of need include:
• Batteries
• Food
• Clothes
• Lighters and matches
• Diapers and wipes
Many families are going to be left without electricity for the next 7 to 10 days, making it even more important to help them as quickly as possible.

Congregation Agudath Sholom Update
If you would like to do something to help victims of Hurricane Sandy TODAY there will be a Emergency Drive from 2 PM-5 PM today and Monday morning 9 AM-12 PM at 301 Strawberry Hill Drive by Congregation Agudath Sholom. Lots of people in shelters are feeling the cold so if you have any warm clothing, coats and the like BRING THEM. We are coordinating this effort with the Upper West Side JCC. We will be delivering all items to them tomorrow, and they will deliver the items to a distribution center in Staten Island on Tuesday morning.
It's a huge mitzvah that can really help our neighbors. Spread the word!
Please donate the following essential items: non-perishable food items, batteries, flashlights, blankets, diapers and wipes, toiletries, cleaning supplies, jackets, towels, and clothing for adults and children - especially new socks and t-shirts.
CAS remains open throughout the day today and Monday until 10 PM for Wifi, charges, light lunch and dinner and a place to relax.
If you have questions, specific needs, know of someone who may need our support, would like to volunteer to help with the Emergency Drive today, or can make deliveries to the Upper West Side JCC tomorrow, please contact Rabbi Cohen (203-252-8252, rabbicohen@cas-stamford.org) or Meredith Cohen, CAS Chesed Chair (917-821-1520, meredithann@mindspring.com).
