I started to watch the video but had to stop it in the beginning. The rabbi was using a computer! That did it for me!

The daughters and their fathers both won in this documentary. They seem to be trying to make the best out of an awkward situation for all.

These young women - and their fathers - should be thanked for having the courage to speak on film. I think the daughters had "issues" with being rabbi's daughters more then they did issues with their fathers themselves as parents and as men.

It was obvious to me that the fathers truly loved their daughters and would eventually make peace with their daughers' decisions.

This was an incredibly moving film. Thank you for posting it.

It was a very moving film. I can really identify with these daughters as my father also had positions of leadership in the community and I understand the difficult (suffocating) burden that comes with that, especially when you feel you don't fit in. It is a very hard, confusing choice between compliance and forsaking your individuality on the one hand, and living your individuality on the other. And the community will often be harsh to you in their misguided attempts to shame you back into compliance. What struck me was that the fathers and families were quite gentle and loving with their daughters and not punitive, as too often happens. There remains open a channel of communication, which I think is so important and is worth striving for. Bravo to the producer of this project.

I would be more impressed if this movie dealt with the real reason that so many young daughters in the Orthodox world are leaving ... the abuse and corruption in our community that are covered up by Rabbis such as the father of the subject of this film, Rabbi Aviner.

I really don't think "so many" are leaving. I would venture to say that the number of orthodox women are growing. Yes some leave, as I am sure some leave in all denominations and religions. I somehow don't think the orthodox are as worried as you are.

its always nice to see a few of the children who have undergone the most brainwashing reject their parents delusions.
