When Jack Lew was appointed chief of staff to President Obama in January, many in the Jewish community wondered how he could observe Shabbat in such a demanding position.

Luckily, Lew has the most powerful man in the world to keep track of time as the sun starts to dip low in the sky on Friday afternoons.

I am glad that the President has concern for his employee's Shabbat observance. We know that he has concern that "the future must not belong to those who insult the prophet of Islam." It boils down to Wilensky saying that he found out that Klein is a really nice guy and therefore must be innocent, while the article itself details some of Klein's violation of the law. Obama is not personally anti-Semitic. Although he has no warm, fuzzy feelings for Israel, he supports it strongly (probably because he is enough of a pragmatist to understand the importance of the alliance). That said, in my opinion he mishandled the Middle East and had only mixed results on the economy. He is a smart, personable guy, but not a great president. Romney has warmer feelings for Israel, but has other problems (which I don't want to go into). I will not be voting for either of them (as if anyone cares).
