Leading Zionist Orthodox Rabbi Endorses Israel’s Social Justice Movement

The Zionist Orthodox community in Israel should be leading the social justice campaign that swept Israel over the summer, Rabbi Yaakov Ariel, chief rabbi of Ramat Gan and the president of the Ramat Gan yeshiva, reportedly told a conference of rabbis yesterday. But instead of doing that, Ariel said, the Zionist Orthodox community stood by quietly, Arutz Sheva reports.
Approximately 100 rabbis from across Israel joined together for the Social Justice and the Jewish State conference.
The “flag of social justice is the flag of religious Jews,” Ariel reportedly told his fellow rabbis.

It's about freakin' time.

Yes, but are they supporting social justice for Jews or social justice for all the inhabitants of the land? If it's just for Jews then it ain't social justice, boys and girls. It's something else.

The bulk of the Zionist Orthodox community stopped being interested in social justice when they started worshipping the God of West Bank Settlement.
Before that, they were interested in all sorts of worthwhile things, like bridging the gaps between secular and religious Israelis, and yes, social justice.

Not sure who messed up this report but Rabbi Ariel is the Chief rabbi of Ramat Gan and the president (not Rosh Yeshiva) of hesder yeshiva of Ramat Gan. Yehoshua Shapira is the rosh yeshiva.
