Haredim Reportedly Stone Journalists And Religious Freedom Activists
Illegal gender segregation allegedly continues unabated

Four members of the Be Free Israel movement went to the Mea Shearin neighborhood of Jerusalem Monday night for the first of this year’s Sukkot Simchat Beit Hashoeiva celebrations there to check to see if haredim had kept their word and stopped trying to illegally gender segregate Mea Shearim’s streets and sidewalks during the holiday.
Haredim had reportedly struck a deal with the city and police late last week, promising not to send “ushers” to the streets to instruct women to move to “their” side of streets, and promising not to harass or assault passersby who haredim might deem to be immodestly dressed or in violation of haredi gender segregation rules.
On their part, police and the city agreed to put up a “security fence” near the Toldos Aharon yeshiva – a fence that police insisted would not be used for gender segregation.
Last week I noted that the “security” fence was almost certainly to be set up as a mechitzah to separate the sexes, and that police and Jerusalem’s secular – but increasingly craven – mayor, Nir Barkat were playing a game of semantics to avoid enforcing the High Court of Justice ruling forbidding this type of gender segregation.
And it appears that I was correct.
When the Be Free Israel activists arrived at Toldos Aharon along with a photographer for Yediot Achranot and a female journalist, they were reportedly met with a hail of stones thrown by haredim.
The photographer and journalist were both injured. The photographer suffered head injuries.
"There was a huge commotion and the photographer immediately fell to the ground," Be Free Israel’s operations officer Eyal Akerman told Ynet. "The photographer and a female journalist stayed to receive medical attention but we fled the scene."
The Be Free Israel activists fled – but they had already seen that the security fence was being used to gender segregate the crowd.
"When we came into the street we saw that there was de facto separation between men and women in the guise of a security fence,” Ackerman told Ynet.
Police were apparently on hand but did nothing to stop the gender segregation and nothing to stop the stoning of the journalists and activists.
No arrests were made.

So the Haredim are incapable of negotiating in good faith or telling the truth. And Yom Tov is no reason for them to stop trying to kill Jews.
Send them to Afghanistan so they can be with their kind

Those poor people will never be the same after being separated. We can only hope that they were able to find their mate after passing through the fence.

As I have said before, no secular should enter an orthodox enclave without a weapon. In this case a slingshot would have made fast work of the scofflaws.
When are the police going to grow a set and start clubbing these animals over the head. They are incapable of telling the truth and like little children they want their own way or else they throw a tantrum. The only solution is to spank them. Jail time and an few busted out teeth would serve them right.

The only people in the back streets of Mea Shearim are chareidi who want segregation. The non-chareidim who don't go there want non-segregation so they go there on yom tov with large cameras and the chareidim get annoyed. Gee, not surprised. (The main streets like Strauss etc should be non-segregation but who cares about the back streets where they have the shules I don't go to)

They'll declare statehood eventually. They're just copying the Palestinain-Islamist playbook because they're not nearly as smart or clever as they think they are.
If they were real Jews, they wouldn't resort to enemy tactics as a matter of course.
