Cut off their benefits if they don't serve.
Bring out the water cannons, batons and rubber bullets when they riot.
Throw them in jail when they are violent.

The problem is that while it is tempting to say "Let them riot and get arrested" think of the consequences.
Large numbers of police would be unavailable to respond to crimes and other crises because they'd be tied up handling these idiots.
How many injuries would flood into and overwhelm local hospitals?
How much damage would be done to the Israel's economy from the disruptions?
The answer isn't so simplistic, as much as we'd like it to be.

The *vast* majority of Haredi are peaceful people. As to "draft dodging" if there is a valid deferment on the books and someone uses it it is not called dodging the draft. When I was younger I did not dodge the draft when I took the student deferment and avoided "serving" in Vietnam .

It ain't looking good folks. Not exactly sure why they need the Cheredim in the army anyway. My son just got out recently and he told me that they don't really have enough work to go around for the people that are there. They have them do a lot of tasks that are useless to keep the soldiers busy. Would make sense to train everyone like they do in Switzerland, so that if they country is invaded, people will know what to do. 2 months in the army would be plenty for this.
It should be noted that a lot of Israelis that are not religious don't go in the army also including the children of some of the biggest politicians.

That's the case with most peacetime armies.

Perhaps part of their make-work duties could be to patrol Charedi neighborhoods to make sure the Charedim behave themselves?

Meir, I second that motion. They should be kicked out of Israel for NOT supporting the State of Israel.
