Andrew Goodman Gets 2 Years, Will Walk In September With Time Served

Goodman pleaded guilty to multiple felonies, including oral sex and anal sex with the victim. He could have been sentenced to dozens of years in prison. Instead, Judge Martin P. Murphy refused to allow the victim's parent or the A.D.A. to speak, and instead sentenced Goodman to 2 years in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release. With time already served, Goodman will be free in September. Goodman is a former Ohel employee.

That's Brooklyn justice, apparently.

MY STORY!

Later I was told he divorced his wife. She went to the Satmar to find a husband and that was that.

What incensed a lot of people was that when a car hit him at night [wearing all black] then people found out he only had ONE year of yeshiva [if at that] and he calls himself a rabbi.

you all speak as if you know somethingsomething about the whole Goodman story....... well, you don't. I know more than you do and the Ribono Shel Olam knows the truth. Ohel, btw, DID investigate after he was arrested as did Women's League and they found no improprieties during his tenure. This case had no business getting lumped into the whole Kol Tzedek initiative - the kid's parents went to the cops - they didn't pay mind to their Rabbonim telling them not to. It was the DA's office that hooked Hecht up with this case so they could have a case to publicize and make it look like they were working diligently to rid our streets of predators and molestors posing as frum Rabbonim. It was a smoke screen to allow business as usual in the holier than thou community - which, for what it is worth, Andrew and his family are not a part of... I know this because I raised him... he's my son. He may have gotten off lighter than he would have had Kol Tzedek not been involved and it was tried as a secular molestation case. The judge had finally had enough and signed off on the two years. Simply put, my son is gay and got (what he believed to be romantically) involved with the wrong kid (age-wise over all other things)... he broke the law - he owned up to that.... Shea Hecht used this case for his own purposes. Man has a seriously dangerous agenda and should be stopped.
