Neturei Karta Marches With Hezbollah, Beaten By Arabs, Calls For End Of Israel

The Arabic language pro-Hezbollah radio station al-Nour reported that Hezbollah leader Sheikh Nabil al-Kauk received the Neturei Karta delegation, headed by Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss. Neturei Karta was in Lebanon to participate in Friday's Global march to Jerusalem. Al-Nour also reported that Weiss called for the "demise of the so-called state of Israel" and said that Jewish identity had been "stolen by the global Zionists."

According to the Jerusalem Post, MK Aryeh Eldad called on Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein to investigate members of the vehemently anti-Zionist Neturei Karta movement after they met with senior Hezbollah members in Beirut.

Hezbollah is a Muslim fundamentalist terrorist group.

Al-Nour also reported that Weiss called for the "demise of the so-called state of Israel" and said that Jewish identity had been "stolen by the global Zionists."

Meanwhile, The Times of Israel reports that four Neturei Karta members were attacked by local Arab march participants, but were saved by other local Arab marchers.

which brings up an interesting point. Is the following line of reasoning true or not ?

Vayoel Moshe, Three Oaths, Chapter 69. Joel Teitelbaum quotes Sanhedrin 98b: "Rabbi Hama son of Hanina said: The son of David will not come until even the pettiest kingdom ceases [to have power] over Israel" Rashi explains that this means the Jews won't even have the least amount of sovereignty. Since the Messiah won't arrive while Jews have any sovereignty, the State of Israel prevents the arrival of the Messiah. (However, elsewhere Teitelbaum implicitly allows for the Messianic Kingdom to immediately replace the State of Israel without any sovereign holding power in between. See Teitelbaum's Divrei Yoel on the Pentateuch, Vol. 3, Page 250.)

P.S. The really interesting part of the above intepretation from Joel Teitelbaum is the bit about the sovereignty changeover process.

P.S.S. Moshiach is not in the State of Israel at this time. He will land by plane BTW which is a version of "descending from the clouds" but not as some have interpreted it. The Messianic philosophy is best summed up by the lines from the 1942 Johnny Mercer tune "Accentuate the positive..."

Further comment: the leftists who march with Arabs, do not, in general, *consciously* wish for Israel's demise. There are some psychological issues at play, usually guilt, and also suffering from listening too much to avowed and implacable foes of Israel. Being in those environments does take an emotional toll.

That would be an error in translation.

Moshiach in Hebrew is "Christ" in Greek/English. So they might indeed say that he said that we need to wait for the coming of "Christ".
