Journalist Arrested For Child Porn, Seducing Minors Online

An Israeli journalist was arrested on suspicion of posing as a woman online, and tricking underage children to strip in front of their webcams. He is suspected of possession of child pornography as well as lewd acts, as well.

An Israeli journalist was arrested on suspicion of posing as a woman online, and causing underage children to strip in front of the camera. He is suspected of possession of pedophilia and child pornography as well as indecent acts and will face a remand hearing at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court later on Tuesday.

Police launched a secret investigation after receiving a complaint on the matter.

It is suspected that the journalist, a Tel Aviv resident in his 30s, opened a Facebook account as a woman named Anna and held erotic online calls with minors. Police also suspect he got the minors to strip, touch themselves and send him intimidate photos of themselves.
 
Earlier this month, a Haifa doctor was sentenced to 18 months in prison for possession and distribution of pedophilia. More than 190,000 porn files were found on his computer and more than half of them featured children and even babies.

Because until we find out who he is, we don't know if he is secular or Orthodox or haredi or Muslim.

Ha'aretz has some Orthodox/haredi staffers. So do local TA publications and Ma'ariv and Ynet.

And most have Arab staffers, as well.

Actually, if I knew who he was, chances are his name would be in the headline.

But none of this is the point.

You don't like the fact that I cover crimes and misbehavior in your community.

It makes you look bad.

A healthy, honest, caring person would read my blog, feel terrible that innocent children are being victimized, and would try to force community leaders to take steps to protect those kids.

But a less healthy, dishonest, uncaring person cares more about the damage to the community's reputation (and his own) than he does about those victims, so he lashes out at the reporting and the reporter, instead.

i agree shmarya. and i think tis good that you do it. However one aspect of your reporting is biased. Its clear that the secular lifestyle scores worse in every department of filth that you report on here, but by focusing so narrowly, you make it seem like there is a connection between being frum and pedophelia, financial fraud etc. Truth is, a bad apple is a bad apple, and its nothing to do with being frum or not. Hence there are many more secular jews in prison, and tons more goyim, than frum people, pro rata, for the crimes you report.
