Video: Neturei Karta Wears Yellow Stars, Holocaust Garb In Anti-Israel Protest In NYC

The anti-Israel protest was held yesterday in Manhattan and featured little children dressed as death camp inmates, children who appear to think they're attending a costume party and who clearly have no idea what the Holocaust was. And, as you can see from this video, neither do the adults who brought them.

On some issues I have been sympathetic to Neturei Karta in the past, but on this point they have gone off the deep end.

The good news I guess is that the Naturei Karta will basically remove themselves from the halls of decency and Godliness in this single act of major attrition. So guess what, this means that their spiritual presence will be greatly and vastly diminished. Maybe not a issue to the unconsiderate, but considering that they have a pull on the arabic communities and thus stand in the way of Torah and Jewish Ideals, I would say that their act of attrition will cause their own attrition and thus, the Naturei Karta eventually have a lesser aperature for success in their antics and egg throwing war of roses.

In return the (3) gentile nations promised not to persecute the Jews. By rebelling against this pact, they argued, the Jewish People were engaging in rebellion against God.

As evidenced by that guy in the hard hat that they interviewed! He had no clue what the protester was talking about. But I think part of that was a language barrier. The protester at the end seemed to have the best command of English, yet even he didn't communicate the basis of their grievances very clearly.

Where in NYC was this demonstration held? Did anyone reading here see it?

I just cannot stand to watch this. What reprehensible behavior! Luckily, people in NYC are quite accustomed to crazies of all descriptions, and I suppose that most people who see this will simply shrug and go about their business.

But, for those few living victims of the Holocaust who see this live or on the news, it may well be a different story. To see "Jews" dressed like this, and acting like this .... Unreal.

It is interesting that the only noticeable noticeable man of 50 or older was forced to come.

I did not see anybody else with first or second hand knowledge of what happened in the holocaust.

NK and chareidi schools do not teach about it. Only recently have the Agudah schools stated that holocaust studies are necessary, because the present generation does not know about it.

About 15 years ago there was a much publicized story of a young woman raised in a NK home who left her religious life. She said that her disillusionment began when she asked her teacher about the holocaust and was told to shut up. (Her grandparents survived the war, probably in camps)

It was good that the video showed adults coaching the children what to say. I wonder many of them will be on the streets when they reach their teens.
