Exclusive: Alleged Chabad Pedophile Now Faces 51 Counts Against Him

David Cyprys, a long time employee of Chabad's Yeshiva Centre in Melbourne, Australia, had 22 more counts added against him in a court appearance today (Friday in Australia). Cyprys asked the court for a media blackout of the trial. The judge is expected to make her decision regarding that next week. Cyprys was allegedly protected for years by Rabbi Yitzchok Dovid Groner, the late head of Chabad in Australia. Police have had contact with almost 20 men who say they were victims of Cyprys when they were  students in Chabad's yeshiva. Many of them are part of the court case against Cyprys.

Cyprys received additional charges....He is now facing 51 charges in total....Was 29 charges before(I think)....

His legal team have applied for a suppression order on the case......The Australian Jewish news objected to the suppression.....As did the mainstream media....The media will have council in court Monday to oppose the suppression....
 
One of the victims also made a statement objecting the suppression....
Reasons for the objection are that 1 )media coverage gives access to information for the victims...2) Facilitates more victims to come forward as has been seen by the new additional charges....
 
The judge granted a temporary suppression till monday when she (female judge) will hear from everyone and hand down her decision on if to order the trial be suppressed....
 
In most cases they usually only grant suppression orders if the victims are the person's own kids....reason being that to name the pedo in the media and to say he's facing court for molestation of his own kids means that everyone would know who the victims are....
Court will always protect the victims.....
In this case Wax can be named cos he went public but the other victims can not....I'm told there are now 11 victims who came forward....

People send their children to the expensive and poor educational quality Chabad schools partially because they feel that their kids would be safe from perversion prevalent in the "outside world".

Now that they know that perversion appeared to penetrate Chabad school as well, it becomes much harder to bear heavy costs and reduction in education quality.

The problem with Chabad is that while many of its centrally-directed functions (e.g. defense of Rubashkin, protection of pedophiles, toleration of illegal acts by shluchim, mocking zoning laws) are abominations, many of its locally-directed functions are highly meritorious. For example, a friend tells me of a Chabad rabbi in his area who persuaded a local businessman to purchase - at substantial cost - a large number of special bicycles that could be used by kids with disabilities.

This, I believe, is why Chabad manages to thrive. When I tell my friend about conduct like Chabad's protection of Cyprys, he responds by saying that no one other than this local Chabad rabbi would do the substantial work and fundraising needed to help disabled kids.

Yes the CH beis din power is mostly local, however ever since Rabi Braun came at least in regards to the Molester issue there's been a huge improvement.

The true number of victims would be a considerable multiple of those who have come forward if one is to believe the reputable research done on this subject.If you are a paedophile the odds are nicely stacked in your favour.If you don't overdo it you are a great chance to get away with it.Unless you are caught in the act only a couple of victims coming forward is unlikely to succeed.
Quite a fuss is made about Moshe Rabbenu having empathy for the victims of slavery.I could never really understand why as I thought this was just common decency,nothing special.I now see that common decency & empathy for victims is a scarce commodity

I think the problem is the two rabbis that signed this - are extreme meschist or on "that" side of the fence - so YES that was a great thing to do and has helped alot...but, yup that but - they are largely looked down because of their standings on "other" matters.

When is the board of the JCCV going to act? What kind of person have they hired as their director? who puts her own children in danger every day - and to speak on behalf of the Jewish community!

The suppression order is typical of Cyprys, he knows that his victims are being emboldened by his being exposed in the media and if the media shuts up then he can keep bullying his victims into staying silent, and he can keep manipulating all the Jewish community leaders into believing his lies, just like Coleman.
