A hasid killed in a hit and run Friday night used the Williamsburg eruv. Satmar hasidim do not – and now signs are posted in Williamsburg saying the dead man was killed by God because he used the eruv.

This paskvil, wall poster, is posted in Williamsburg today.

It is about a man named Meilech Weiss.

Weiss was hit by a car and killed Friday night.

Weiss was a Klausenberger hasid who used the eruv, the "fence" made up of wires that encloses an area – in this case, a part of Williamsburg – so Orthodox Jews can carry objects outside on Shabbat

Unlike Weiss and other many other non-Satmar hasidim, Satmar does not recognize the validity of the Williamsburg eruv and strongly opposes its use.

Satmar hasidim have in the past physically attacked other hasidim pushing baby strollers or carrying books on Shabbat.

To equate public education and transportation with social welfare programs demonstrates the level of your dishonesty. Most people would prefer not to be dependent upon the latter, and accept the benefits therefrom as a last resort. Also, most of us put in more than we take out (at least until retirement), otherwise the system wouldn't stand. The frumma, by contrast, have made a way of life out of gaming the system. They have far more children than they can reasonably afford to care for, for no other reason than that their rebbaim tell them to. Men aspire to lifelong "learning" (which really consists of memorizing arguments centuries old) in lieu of work. Women are expected to raise ridiculously large broods of children while bringing in what little money they can. I won't even go into the negative effects the lack of parent-child interaction has upon them; you'd merely deny it.

The frumma see themselves as the pinnacle of creation, and believe the goyim and frei yidden should count themselves lucky to be able to support their heilige lifestyle on their way to gehinnom.
