Thousands Of Haredim Demonstrate Against Inter-Haredi Violence
Thousands of haredim demonstrated against inter-haredi violence last night in Mea Shearim. The demonstration came one day after 20 Ger hasidim ambushed and beat a leader of the Neturei Karta linked haredi street gang, the Sicarii, with clubs and spikes in retaliation for Sicarii attacks on Ger hasidm. Avrahm Hirschman is in critical condition in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital with multiple internal injuries and a serious head injury, along with broken bones and cuts.
The right side of the leaflet says, "Jerusalem Police Accomplice To Murder!"
It most likely says that because the Sicarii are sworn opponents of the state and of the police and army, and they have repeatedly attacked police with rocks, bottle, fists, clubs and, earlier this week, cement block hurled from rooftops.
That behavior keeps police out of Mea Shearim and results in a form of lawlessness that for the most part has allowed the Sicarii to control Mea Shearim's streets and extort its businesses.
Two nights ago, Ger hasidim fought back – albeit in a horrendous, sick way.
Being the self-justifying people they are, the Sicarii are now blaming the police they hate and regularly assault and whose authority they do not recognize for not acting against their inter-haredi enemies.

Strength for what - to take over the rest of Israeli society? That's what you'd like, isn't it?

They throw rocks and cinder blocks and police and emergency personnel when they do come into their neighborhoods, yet they scapegoat the police for inaction? It's time to partition them off into their own country.

Arm both sides
See deplorable violence
One side gets weaker-send more arms
See more horrible violence
Send more arms
See unspeakable violence
Pretty soon the residents will welcome the police to maintain law and order

Physical beatings are the smaller issue. The sign explains that Chasidim should not be beating others for the purpose of stealing from their brothers in Batei Warsaw. Its a turf battle.
