Dozens Of Haredi Extremists Break Into Chabad House, Riot, Tear Gas Rabbi And His Children
Sunday night, dozens of haredi extremists known as the Sicarii broke into a Chabad rabbi's home, which is also a Chabad House, in Beitar Illit, vandalized it and tear gassed the rabbi and his terrified children.
Why did the Sicarii – a group named after the thugs who beat and murdered anyone willing to compromise with Rome in the years leading up to the Destruction of the Second Temple – target Rabbi Binyomin Lehrer?
Because Lehrer is the rabbi of Africa Israel, Chabad oligarch Lev Leviev's conglomerate.
Africa Israel is involved in a building project, and the Sicarii are unhappy with how the issue of Jewish graves at the site have been dealt with – primarily that a rival 'protect the graves' organization was brought in after the Sicarii's chosen organization became increasingly extreme in its demands.
The Chabad community has hired security guards to protect Lehrer and his family.
Details in Hebrew on Behadrei Haredim.

That's a way to show ahavat yisrael. On erev tisha be'av. Oy.

Don't they see the irony of their name Sicarii and the fact that it is tisha bav. Aren't they also coddled baryunim in the talmud which is derogatory name

It is already Tisha B'av for me here in Australia. I think that this website can be classified as an acceptable tisha b'av activity just like the more negative parts of the Torah. It is too bad we haven't learned to act better in 2011

Attacking a Rabbi because of something he has nothing to do with makes perfect sense to me....

Anon-
It may not make sense to us, but it does make sense to a bunch of those religious inbreds.

i am assume all of you know the siccari are the same group that judas iscariot belonged too. It was a knife cult designated to kill tzaddukim meaning cohanim working the Temple.
Judas- Yehuda Ish--Is Cariot--combine to siccari.
the Siccari was a type of knife.
also worthwile reading the recently found Gospel of Judas. Will rather change your knowledge about who he was and what he did and his relationship with founders of Christianity back in the day.

look, violence is terrible & I don't condone it, but if they do it to christian missionaries why should we expect them not to do it to chabad.
in addition, chabad would be at or close to the forefront of attacks on christian missionaries.

Chabad's Volpa can't compromise with Arik Sharon, Barak and Bibi (the closest to modern days Bar Kochva) of the sovereign jewish state

KOYAANISQATSI...
A little bit off topic but because it is Tisha B'Av in most parts of the world now. I suggest everyone watches and listens to the following clip.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vz_R2y1oAzw
Koyaanisqatsi, from the Hopi language, translates as "life of moral corruption and turmoil" or "life out of balance" and "a state of life that calls for another way of living".
In Judaism "The Redemption" means an age whereby the good energies start to counter-balance the dark energies of the world.
The Baha'i talk of a lesser peace before the most great peace. Time is linear and expansive. We are the both the puppets and the puppeteers of the universe.

Sellyourmotherforadollar asks:
"is it against all Orthodox?"
chos vecholileh. it's only against 'minoos' distortion and expropriation of our holy faith as well as 'chilul shem shomayim'.

To Sellyourmotherforadollar,
Have you heard of Maimonides "Golden Mean" idea ?
Do you know the song "Accentuate the Positive" by Johnny Mercer ?
