Exclusive: Two Arrested In Brooklyn
A Borough Park man active in Shomrim and one other man were allegedly arrested today for insurance fraud.
According to a well-placed source, Eli Berger was arrested at his body shop on 60th street between 15th and 16th Avenue by the FBI today. Berger is either a coordinator of Shomrim (the ultra-Orthodox para-police patrol) or a senior member.
I'll post more information, including the names of the other man, when it becomes available.
Update 5:10 am CDT 6-23-11 – Apparently Eli Berger may not be a Shomrim coordinator or a senior member. He is supposedly an inactive, yet registered, member and the brother-in-law of Shomrim coordinator/Hatzolah dispatcher Simcha Bernath. Simcha Bernath is said to have very solid connections with law enforcement, but was recently laid off from his job as a NYS Police Chaplain.
Berger was apparently picked up by Detective Investigators from the Kings County District Attorney's office.
D.A. Charles Hynes is prosecuting the case and is holding a press conference this morning.
Update 11:55 am CDT – The D.A.'s press release containing the details of the charges against Berger is posted here.
Berger and his employee, Hershey Greenberger were arrested. $700,000 in cash was recovered.

I thought the word is used with conjunction to the criminals not to the law enforcement.

BTW , all those body shops Jews and Italians are making their living doing insurance fraud the Feds probably arrested others.

Sorry to quibble. "Allegedly arrested today for insurance fraud" sounds horribly wrong. I assume you mean "arrested today for alleged insurance fraud".

Yes, the report on the sexual harassment case is real.
It is being settled outside the court.
Their are many more being filed against americare.
Helfgot who sexually abused staff members like Anna from the finance dept. And Pezner as well.
