Donate To Help New Square Burn Attack Victim
I spoke with Aron Rottenberg's attorney, Michael Sussman yesterday.
There are two funds administered by Sussman to help the Rottenbergs.
To donate, send a check (or checks) to Michael Sussman Attorney, Client Escrow Account, POB 1005, Goshen, NY 10924.
You can donate to either the Aron Rottenberg Medical Expenses and Family Support Fund –– or –– the Aron Rottenberg Legal Defense Fund.
[You may want to write each check this way: "Michael Sussman Client Escrow Account – Aron Rottenberg Medical Expenses And Family Support Fund" or "Michael Sussman Client Escrow Account – Aron Rottenberg Legal Defense Fund."]
Great. Thanks for that info.

Schmarya, what did the lawyer think of FM? You must have let him know, if he didn't already, that your blog is giving the victim and his family a voice and keeping their story alive. And that the readership are outraged and support Mr. Rottenberg.

I did a fedex overnight for a nice amount of money and a big refuah shlima note that he should be healthy gezunt, strong and should never give in to terror. His fight is our fight, If rotenberg wins we all win. there are serious allegation agaisnt this rebbi of square , and I expect justice will prevail,Justice has it's place in the world, but hell is NOT justice. In the end, God's mercy will prevail and all souls will be happy.

Thanks for posting the information.
I just mailed small donation to both funds with:
1. wishes for Refuah Shlema to Aaron;
2. Good luck to Mr. Sussman in the battles ahead; and
3. Thanks to Shmarya for staying on top of this horrible saga.

Someone needs to help the family be able to sell their house fairly - for fair market value, without the potential buyers being intimidated - and move out of New Square. Maybe the Fromowitz family can help them.

Hoe much is Sussman charging the Rottenbergs for his advice?

I don't know what his rates are but he is Rottenberg's attorney.
Attorney's don't generally work for free.
And his main job is to get Rottenberg compensated and to get the feds to investigate the New Square situation.

Is the donation tax deductable?
Gifts to an individual, even under circumstances like these, are never tax deductible. Someone would have to setup an organization and apply for 501(c)(3) status from the IRS in order to take tax deductible donations.
My prayers go out to Mr. Rottenberg and his family.

I assume Sussman is working under a contingency fee agreement.

By law an attorney may not touch an escrow acct. except for the purposes for which it was established. The medical & family acct. must go towards medical expenses and family needs. The legal defense acct. could be used by the attorney for his fee and/or expenses associated with the trial (discovery etc).
