Accused Haredi Pedophile Meir Dascalowitz May Be Declared Unfit To Stand Trial

Two court-appointed psychiatrists believe Meir Dascalowitz is unfit to stand trial, source says.

According to a source in the courtroom today, the two court-appointed psychiatrists did not present their written reports at today's hearing. But, based on statements made by the judge today, the psyciatrists have apparently told the court orally that they believe Dascalowitz is unfit to stand trial. Their written reports are expected to be presented at a hearing next week.

If they have indeed decided that Dascalowitz is unfit to stand trial, and if the court accepts their finding, Dascalowitz could be immediately sent to a psychiatric facility from next week's hearing. He would remain in that psychiatric facility until he is deemed fit to stand trial.

Dascalowitz, who was arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor sexual abuse charges last May, claims he was molested as child by convicted child molester Rabbi Baruch Lebovits.

I reported in early December that Dascalowitz wanted to plead not guilty by reason of insanity. At the time, the judge refused to agree to accept the plea unless Dascalowitz agreed to be incarcerated until his court-ordered psychiatric evaluations were finished, and Dascalowitz did not enter that plea. He remained (and still remains) free on bail as a result.

The court-appointed psychiatric exams were ordered later after Dascalowitz's attorneys requested them.

If he had "already [been] declared unfit to proceed," he would ALREADY be remanded.

Until the psychiatrists reports are official and are entered into the record, he is a person charged with a series of crimes. No more; no less.

The P.I. who uncovered the alleged plot against Lebovits says unequivocally that Lebovits is a child molester.

There are dozens of now-adult alleged victims who were allegedly abused by Lebovits as children.

Lebovits got bail because of that P.I., and the alleged witness tampering, extortion and bribery charges were filed against Kellner because of that P.i.

Past that, the adults are past the statute of limitations.

If you were not an idiot – which, I admit, is a stretch to imagine – and if you knew anything about the pathology of sexual abuse, you'd know this.

Definitely, the screws in your head are not tight. Calling you an idiot, is an understatement, they way you try to clear BML shows that either you are an idiot and do not know what you are talking about, or deliberately lying and degrading all the other victims. In my book when Shmarya labeled you an idiot, he only did you a favor because I believe that you instinctually take the side of the molester because you are out there on the prowl too. Again you missread a poster's comment to cast a bad image of all Chareidim.
The judge seems to accept the mental plea yet you claim if true then all Frumma can do what they want.
