Hillel Israel Seder For Foreign Workers Children Hillel Israel is marking this Passover in a special manner, highlighting the issues of freedom and liberty with those for whom these issues are relevant everyday.

As part of its activities Hillel Israel struck a partnership with the Kibbutzim Seminary's student union in a joint event bringing Israeli students together with the children of migrant workers residing in Israel.

The event, which took place on Sunday evening at the Kibbutzim Seminary in Tel Aviv, combined a traditional Seder together with unique content related to the themes of freedom and liberty.

As part of the evening's activities, the children were exposed to the traditional holiday story and Seder while sharing with the Israeli participants their family's personal story of the journey to freedom.

During the evening, which was aimed at providing an up-to-date meaning of the holiday, the participants present their personal story in relation to its content alongside a special culinary menu composed solely of chocolate ingredients, aimed to signify the hope and taste for a sweet future.

According to David Ya'ari, CEO of Hillel Israel, "Freedom is the central theme of Passover and one of the key themes of Judaism. This event serves as an expression of Hillel Israel's core values and diverse activities to promote Jewish Renewal in Israel.

"As an organization involved in the fields of social action and justice, we view the connection and joint activities with the children of migrant workers as another channel for providing up-to-date meaning of the holiday's content and issues of communal responsibility in Judaism for young Israelis."
