Haredim Stone Arab Trash Pickers

Police arrested two haredim from Jerusalem's Mea Shearim neighborhood who are suspected of stoning two young Arab men who came to collect aluminum foil thrown away by haredim in public trash cans.

Police arrested two haredim from Mea Shearim neighborhood are suspected of casting stones towards two young Arab men who came to the religious quarter to take aluminum foil leftovers thrown in public trash cans on Monday night.

According to the Arabs, the two religious men attacked them with stones and caused damage to their cars.

The Arab men were probably just trying to earn a dollar with garbage that no one else wanted. It is also a sign of economic conditions that they would need to do that. The divisions between the suburban areas of Jerusalem should be broken down. Freedom of movement with respect for a neighbourhood is a sign of a healthy metropolis.

Yes there are real gaps in the global economy where people even in comparatively rich nations have to resort to such measures to survive. Extreme economic imbalances are a real problem that left unattended can lead to revolution. However I am not a communist.
