Empire CEO Gets Humanitarian Award
Greg Rosenbaum, CEO of Empire Kosher Poultry was honored last evening at the Met Council on Jewish Poverty’s Night of Fun and Philanthropy, Second Annual Food for Life Event. Empire donates more than 50,000 pounds of kosher poultry annually to the Met Council’s food pantries and kitchens.

NEW YORK – Greg Rosenbaum, CEO of Empire Kosher Poultry, the nation’s largest processor of Kosher chickens and turkeys, was honored last evening at the Met Council on Jewish Poverty’s Night of Fun and Philanthropy, Second Annual Food for Life Event. The event was held at the Jewish Heritage Museum in Manhattan.
Mr. Rosenbaum was given the Humanitarian Award to honor Empire Kosher’s ongoing support of Met Council’s activities. Empire donates more than 50,000 pounds of kosher poultry annually to the Met Council’s food pantries and kitchens.

Rosenberg is credited with having turned this company around. He is tough as nails but actually listens to his employees ideas about how to improve the company. Smart man.

I volunteered for Met Council's Pesach food distribution and last week helped give away tons of K for P food to eldely, families and Jews of all stripes. No one was questioned about their religiosity and all were treated with respect and kindness.
I am doing it again later today in Queens and tomorrow in Brooklyn. This is the Jewish community at its best.
And I was at the event honoring Greg Rosenbaum, which also honored reform Congregation Sharay Tefiloh and former White House chef Walter Scheib. It was a fun event for a great casue.

State of disgust-
I, too, have heard good things about Rosenberg/Empire. And it true, good for them.
But truthfully, this Rosenberg could "drop kick" a puppy across a football field and still have more respect than that slime ball Friedman and that Deadhead Hirsch aka... Agristar.....
By the way, Agristar is in total dissarray for all of the 1 or 2 people who are actually wondering.... Hirsch & Friedman have run it into the ground...the Town just wishes they would go away. What a shame
