Police: Father of 12 regularly sexually assaulted daughters
Two of the man's teenage sons were indicted for allegedly beating and threatening one of the sisters in attempt to silence her complaint.
By BEN HARTMAN • Jerusalem Post
Three sisters from Bnei Brak reportedly underwent daily, systematic sexual abuse at the hands of their father over the past five years, it emerged on Sunday after the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court lifted a gag order on the case.
The father of twelve is accused of sexual molesting all three sisters, aged 14, 16, and 17. Two of his sons, aged 15 and 19, are suspected of helping their father carry out his alleged reign of terror by beating and threatening their sisters in an attempt to prevent them from talking to police. Last week, both sons were indicted by the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court on charges of obstructing justice.
The abuse came to light by accident during a routine drug search of an apartment in Bnei Brak about a month ago. During the raid, police found a 14-year-old girl who said she was a friend of the teenage suspect who lived in the house. Police said the girl was acting strange and during questioning admitted that she had run away from home months earlier, following repeated sexual abuse by her father. A number of the sexual assaults reportedly took place at a hotel in south Tel Aviv which the father would allegedly rent in order to carry out the assaults.
Shortly after his daughter made the allegation to police, investigators called the father in for questioning but he did not respond and was nowhere to be found. Last week, Jerusalem police managed to find the father, in an apartment in the Meah Shearim neighborhood where he had been hiding out.
Police said that after the father was called for a police investigation the two brothers tried to track down their sister in order to beat her into and prevent her from testifying. They also reportedly went to her friend’s house and beat and threatened him demanding he give them her whereabouts.
On Sunday, the father’s remand was extended by an additional three days. Police say they expect an indictment to be issued against him in the coming week.

It never ceases to amaze me that these pigs won't even sit next to a woman on a bus but then commit crimes like this.

i've always said and believed that 'religious ' ppl,
chassisim and haredi , are sick .
they are so frustrated , so many restrictions in their lives that they have no choice than doing crazy things ( molesting , raping children .....) that NON religious will never do .
haredi or chassidim are not allowed to have sex with women......women they meet randomly ( except their wives, of course ) . so, they lash out on other children or their own.
it's a scary world .

Dalia, this is a singular freak case. Behaviour like this are no more a norm in haredi society then in secular society.
It is not clear any longer where these things are less frequent, but the long standing claim is that they are less fequent in the religious societies, then in loose morally corrupt secular ones.

dalia-right you are its a scary world very very scary i think back at my own life at the age of 10 was molested in the mikva by non other then our town shohet and moel who was over the age of 60 the most religious person with a shtreimel who in the universe can imagine someone doing something like that and that was over 50 years ago what can i tell you you are 100 per cent right its very very scary we live in an unpredictable world were someone who hides behind religion the most unsuspecting person

How can someone do something like this? This animal needs to be put down.

bnei brak has a neighborhood called pardes katz, which isn't religious, so before jumpimg to conclusions, let's wait and see from where is this molester.
secondly, if the guy is a ball teshuva, then again the charedeim are not to blame, on the contrary, so let's wait and see

Your logic is warped at best and sick at worst. This is an aberation, most people love their children and find stories like this revolting. To see this as a haredi issue is the product of a very sick mind.

Its not fair to judge a whole class of people by the actions of a few that leads to prejudice and discrimination ala anti-Semitism.
However Chareidim have a a very strict line about any sexual contact so that once that line is going to be crossed it may not mean so much what they end up doing no matter how despicable it is. They put themselves at more risk by having such strict laws

the interesting part of the story will be whether the poor victims are victimized again by their community's response.
rape and molestation certainly take place in every type of community, but in secular life the victims are treated far better than i expect these girls will be. will they be believed? will haredim rush to the mans defense? will the girls be shunned ? what kind of shidduch will they get?
sadly i am afraid i know the answers.

josh-
Your attempt to be 'dan l'kaf sechus' is charming, but most certainly misplaced.
How may non-religious families in Bnai Brak have 12 children and would allow their sons to attack their daughters to avoid altering the police of sexual abuse (to do 'mesirah', presumably).
If the perp isn't Charedi, I'd eat my shtreimel.

Whom should we "dan le chaf zechut?"
The daughter, that she told the truth?
The daughters that they told the truth?
Or the father?

harold- youre very very naive or youre playing the dummn game i know of almost half a dozen cases like one just a half or so year ago had his trial here his daughter accused him for got his name hre ran away from isreal to belgiam and then here he is in jail for a long time another is a father molested his son for many years and other who were molested by their own rebbis as i wrote here i myself was molested in the mikva over 50 years ago at the age of 10 in europe by non other then our shoihet and moel i wont go into it even one case is too many since it is done by such so called g-d fearining people they negate all that is good in yiddishkeit they are destroyers of life not lee then that

Harold, without any real data, we don’t know if incestuous relationships are prevalent more in the orthodox communities, but for sure, in your community, if a father raped a child the community tries to sweep it under the rug. The problem is not that it happens, it happens in every community, it is the reaction of the community at large, which is disappointing to say the least.

jancsipista...
i'm so sorry that happened to you.
be strong.
thank you for telling us.
you have a LOT of people wishing you only
the best.

It MAY be an aberration
BUT the community in general seems to protect the abuser and vilify the victim.

Josh why is it dan le chaf zechut if it happened it one jewish community over another childrens lives were destroyed by their own father in any case

A 14 year old girl from a Chareidi family in BB ran off with a boy freind who was on drugs, & told the police a story, while drugged.
The media picked it up & spiced it up, there has yet to be a trial,& all you commentors have already passed a guilty verdict on this individual [who may be very sick, & very guilty or may not be] & the entire Chareidi community.
I guess that is what I should expect on a blog, especially one of former Chareidim.
Stop a minute & think if they informed you that it was your own son who was the suspect, would you come here & pass a guilty verdict on him & your whole family?

To the poster who said Pardes Katz & not Chareidi, I highly doubt a non Chareidi would have 12 kids.
If this is true the Chareidi version here could be Elior Chen style or a Meditranian orientel gone Na Nach Nacm Nachma Nachman Meuman, who has yet to become BT but is fully garbed and a druged up drunk, with all the neclaces & wrist bands, but not a Shomer Shabboss, or someone who eats Kosher, Nor a G-d believer, just a Porek Oil guy who chose this luni way.
We must wait & see, B4 passing judgement.
BTW the above mebtioned cult have some very dangerous members, one actually murdered a gentile in Uman, causing a revenge murder of a Jew, he ran off to Israel, and probably bears no conscience.
I must admit that on atrip to EY I did meet a family who belonged to that cult, but didn't wear those kipos & were very normal, nice & refined French Morocan Sfardim.

It's interesting how your user name is "Loshon Hora", and yet your post contains all kinds of made up crap about "Meditranian orientel" (that made my spell check catch fire) and Breslovers and Baal Tshuvot.
Please explain yourself, preferably with using proper spelling and grammar.

Under Mosaic Law the perpetrator would suffer the death penalty. I would not bat an eyelid for his demise. The accomplice sons are also guilty but to a lesser extent. The father would have acted as supreme dictator in his family abode.
Prayers for the girls. From the most evil of upbringings can real flowers bloom.
I'm not sure when people are going to "click" into the correct mental gear on such crimes and what the punishment should be, but I hope it is soon. There is a way to transition the criminal justice system and deal with past cases as well. There are many, many people in positions of power who have done evil things. Thus the world is upside down at the moment. We really do need a government of the righteous for Planet Earth. All those who have committed dark acts think they can run, but they can't hide from G-d. He knows the score.
P.S. I visited a cemetery yesterday to honour the dead. It was a beautiful late spring day in the country. I am convinced that right now the dead are sitting in conference with G-d in the divine court weighing up how the living should be treated. This is not necromancy, just a spiritual message I am getting. Certain crimes must not be allowed to continue. If the Jews really are to be a nation of priests some immediate deep tshuva is required. There must be some instant shifts in mindset and frame of reference.

my name is josh and i posted my doubts, if the person who did this crime is charedi.
and i was asked which charedei has 12 children.
i meant to say: charedi is a person who was raised charedi and educated in their schooling system. not outsiders who after being influenced from other cultures, come to the charedi community, and act the opposite, and by that blacken the whole frum community.
elior chen is a sample of an outsider, he did not learn in ponovez or mir or gur or toldos ahron
they are not charedim
i am willing to bet anybody 3 to 1 odds, that this guy never learned in a serious charedi yeshiva.

Haredi Father Allegedly Sexually Abused Three Of His Daughters Every Day For Five Years
Shmaryahoooo!
Even the newspaper doessn't say Chareidi almost definatly my above posts are the case we will see.
Nor does the paper say "every day" just regularly, not that if it is found to be true, once the Torah gives him a death sentance, but I see your attention.

The crime of incest is not relegated to
the households of so called religious Jews.
It's a horrific crime which in unfortunately
found in homes from all specturms of religions, socieconomic standings, and
education.
If this father is quilty of this terrible
crime, may justice be delivered to him in
all its forms by man and God.

Josh, your opinion shows a dangerous bias.
You seem to believe that "a true chareidi could not do such a thing", and yet, sadly, Isroel Moshe Weingarten was a born and bred chareidi, who went to all the proper yeshivot, but still sexually abused his daughter. He has already been condemned, so there is no case of doubt there.
I read through the Weingarten case who by the way had many similarities to this one in terms of family structures (dictatorial father, pitting his children one against the other and forcing them to serve his evil ends).
This kind of evil occurs in all walks of society. Perpetrators use whatever loopholes they find to do their evil deeds. In a liberal society they will say "I just wanted to teach her how to have sex, why, is that bad?", in a restrictive society they will often be over-restrictive hypocrites. In general they are manipulators, without scruples, who will also attack their best friends when they do not do what they want.
Ahpeekores, you are sadly mistaken about the glorious destiny that awaits victims of abuse in other societies than the chareidi one.
If you want to correct your misconceptions, take a look at this blog.
http://looneytunes09.wordpress.com/
The children who are abused just draw the bad lot in life, and it is very likely that their suffering will not just end when they are taken out of the abusive environment.
By the way, they do have an increased risk of drug abuse and promiscuous behaviour.
So people who speak about drugs in order to discredit victims, on the contrary: it's a further indicator.
