Rubashkin Attorney Nathan Lewin Wants Rubashkin Let Out Of Prison To Attend Son's Bar Mitzvah

Nathan Lewin calls on Department of Justice to “take the decent and honorable step” of forcing Iowa prosecutors and the United States Bureau of Prisons to grant Sholom Rubashkin special treatment so that he can attend his son's bar mitzvah next week. Rubashkin is serving a 27 year sentence for bank fruad and related crimes.

Haredi newspaper Yated Ne'eman reports:

With the bar mitzvah of Sholom Mordechai's son, Mendel, less than a week away, Nathan Lewin sent a letter to the head of the justice department's criminal division, Lanny Breuer, pleading with him to “take the decent and honorable step” of intervening with Iowa prosecutors to allow Sholom Mordechai "to join his family on this important event."

The rest of the article is a long, Pravda-like retelling of the Rubashkin post-trial saga. In the finest tradition of Yated Ne'eman, no facts inconvient to its story line are included.

Yated Ne'eman is run by Rabbi Pinchas Lipschutz, Rubashkin's key fundraiser, and is the mouthpiece of the American haredi yeshiva world.

You can search previous posts I've done to see the litany of misrepresentations, intentional misquotes and lies Rubashkin's team has released over the past few months. Those posts also contain the original documents Lewin and others misquotes, so you can see the actual quotes and their context.

The problem with Yated Ne'eman articles is that so much of their content is false it literally takes hours to list every lie, half-truth, misquote, and fabrication it passes off as fact and then provide links to the actual source material.

It's this kind of thing that gives jail a bad name. Why can't they just let people out every time they have an important family event? Does jail have to be so unpleasant and heartless?

Rabbeh Rubashkin was not concerned in the least about his son's Bar Mitzvah as he was committing unspeakable crimes against animals, men, children and the US government or he would have never lead a life of crime as an example to his son and all who knew him.

He cannot stop scamming and playing the system because it's in his DNA.

Could someone refresh my memory and post the name of the convicted Hebraic-Judaic felon who had is delinquent son's Bar Mitzvah in the Chayder his was rotting in.

It was a lavishly catered affair but to my surprise there was no mention of strippers or a uber hot prostitute for the son to bang now that he was a man.

Also, if memory serves me correctly he later asked or demanded that his daughter's wedding take place in "his" big house.

Since this convicted established a new president in criminality, I respectfully submit to Rubashkin's lawyer that he argues the merits of the case before judge.

Just let Sham Wow out of prison entirely so he can party all he wants and when he gets tired he can start up a prison outreach gig. This will cause an end to the endless legal mishugas on his behalf. Let the son go to prison, and preform his Bar mitzvah on a Monday, or Thursday during visiting hours. No big deal, then the son will be taught that crime does not pay, and youi must pay for your owwn deeds. The effect is called personal responsibility.
If SMR was so concerned with his family why did he become a CONIFF?, Why did he commit so many crimes of theft, deception, fraud, lying cheating stealing, and who knows what else.

And I would take a look at the visitation rules before suggesting that they can move it to the prison. Again, there is one set of rules for everybody.
