You'd think if one were to log onto a blog to wish cancer on the blog's author, one would at least spell said author's name correctly in the actual insult. I also spot incorrect punctuation.

On the "more photos" website, there was a photo of the kitchen staff dishing out sherbert or something (more illegal immigrants exploited by the Rubashkins????)....
It's good that they took this photo! At least we know that there were some righteous and God-fearing people present at this celebration!
As "harold" says... "happiness, peace, and blessings" to these hard-working men and women!

I am quite dissapointed with the contempt and hatred being spewed on a poor 13 year-old whose father is a criminal.
Did the 13-year-old do anything wrong????? Did he choose his father??? his uncles???
One would think that people who claim the moral high ground would demonstrate common decency and leave the kid alone. Today, his father is in prison. Tomorrow his father will still be in prison. When he marries in 15 years, his father will most likely still be in prison.
And all the denying in the world will not change the fact that every day that kid knows that his father is in prison for a heinous crime.
Even the Republicans, Tea Party people, hell even the Birthers have the decency to leave President Obama's kids alone.
Too bad people on this site can't do the same.

Apologies to Prince:
I was davening when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes oy vey
But when I woke up there this mornin', could've sworn it was Bar Mitzvah Day
The concord wine was purple, there was vodka flowing everywhere
Tryin' to join the celebration, you know I didn't even care
Chorus:
'Cuz they say 2000 and 10 party over, oy, do some time!
So tonight I'm gonna party like it's 2029!
I was davening when I wrote this, so sue me if I want to fast
But jail is just a party and parties weren't meant to last
Crime is all around us, my mind says prepare to retch
So if I gotta schrei, You're gonna listen to my musical kvetch
chorus
Chevra, let me tell you somethin'
If you came without a pardon, don't bother knockin' on his cell
He was lying in the docket and for his son he's ready to kvell (Yeah)
Everybody's got a Mountain Dew, l'chaim is what they say (Oy)
But before I let that happen, I'll have to shout oy vey
Chorus
(We gonna, we gonna, oy!)
Say it one more time
2010 party over, oy, do some time! (Nu, nu)
So tonight I'm gonna party like it's 2029! (We're gonna, we gonna)
etc. to fade.

Yes, he is guilty of being born a haredi and to add insult to injury, a chabadnick as well. Just like in Hitler's eyes Jews deserved to die simply because they were born Jewish. Here to, judgment is passed without evidence, just based on outward appearance and labels.
Imagine, looking at a boy that you never met and having the chutzpa to say

I used to be a very calm, friendly and stable person. I'm not saying this is a bad thing but ever since I started hanging out here, I just have this urge to kill people en masse for no apparent reason. Just yesterday, my dog left me (I think so - I can't find him). Is this normal? Does anyone else experience this here?

That is NOT the purpose of this site. You are to have this urge to kill people en masse for being haredi or Chabad. Give it some time and you will get it right.

I thought the family was broke and desperate for our donations. They can't even afford to pay the rent, much less the legal bills.
Perhaps there was a miscalculation.
Posted by: WoolSilkCotton | October 13, 2010 at 03:32 PM
All these convicted felons showing up at his Bar Mitzvah to help him celebrate while his father is in jail serving a 27 year sentence. With these people as role models (liars, cheats and crooks) the boy will have a lot to overcome. I feel sorry for him and the burden he will carry.
Posted by: State of Disgust | October 13, 2010 at 05:03 PM
When I got married and started having kids, I realized there were people I love, depending on me for financial and emotional support, and looking up to me as a role model.
I realized I had to drive more carefully, watch my language and temper, be a good example regarding religious practice, be more diligent about my job performance and work ethic, and obey the law so I don't do something stupid and get into trouble.
Apparently, Rubashkin men get no such realizations.

"I thought the family was broke and desperate for our donations. They can't even afford to pay the rent, much less the legal bills.

I am no Rubashkin fan, and my opinion of him has changed tremendously from information I have read on this site.
I happen to have first hand knowledge that the family really does have no money. Everything for the Simcha was donated to them free of charge. Chabad of Rockland provided the facility. Lchaim catering in Monsey provided the food. Even the linens were donated.
As this site is one of the rare places where fact is separated from fiction, I felt the need to share this information here.

Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz stated that he was not sure whether the outlandish Rubashkin sentence stems from antisemitism, and went on record on the Zev Brenner show calling the sentence "Bigotry".
Dershowitz is a person knowledgeable on matters of law unlike the guy who runs this blog. Do you want to follow the point of view of a person who belittles those who do not follow his views by calling his/her opponents "Idiot", or a person that uses his intellect and is a respectable Professor of Law at Harvard?
The answer depends on whether or not you are an "Idiot".
Posted by: Jose Gonzalez | October 14, 2010 at 12:26 AM
i meant balkany is f---d as a rabbi ONLY because he's a rabbi too.
it's semi o.k. to be a criminal...but NOT AT ALL o.k. to be a rabbi AND a criminal.
that is just not cool.

i don't know, reb jose. harvard is fine. not so with a.dershowits who is best at twisting words and causes.
when i see him espousing a cause, i count my fingers lest 1 of them got spirited surreptitiously.
