Anderson: oh come on! Every population has people who engage in behavior way outside the social norm. And that is why we have Torah laws explicitly against this. Do you have even the slightest shred of evidence this is part of a societal movement? The whole point of this blog has been to highlight the problem that it is not that deviants exist (they do exist, sadly)...and no one is saying there is something wrong with the Yeshivah or Chareidi world that such personality disorders exist, rather the issue has been that the social structure has *allegedly* not been managing the problem properly (reporting things to police... letting other Yeshivah's know about an offender that has been ejected, so he doesn't simply get a job elsewhere). Let's concentrate on law enforcement improvement rather than blanket condemnation (unless of course, you have evidence to back up a condemnation. I think none exists, and one should retract such unkind words)

Tipesh, the accusation directed at the frum community as a whole is not the abuse itself, but the manner in which it is dealt with.

I didnt realize that the father of the molested boy was a Rav and worked at the Yeshiva.Kol Hakod to him that he reported the abuse.I hope he doesnt lose his job or his life made miserable for doing the right thing.Mr.Pasik and Mr.Hirsch were very informative.I hope they give chizuk to people going through this.

AE Anderson. Snag? I think you ought to take that back. And while there seem to be molestors in every sort of community within the haredi world and generally every part of society, it's the charedim that don't seem to deal with it well.
This includes so called Chassidim.

First of all, there aren't any nude pictures or anything close to it.

Secondly, this is a book of fiction with remarkably little sex in it, despite its title.

Thirdly, why not spend your time and energy trying to stop the rampant child rape in your community? After all, that really hurts real, live people – your community's children.

Its very easy to say that the victim should go directly to police....unfortunately their are so many variables that inhibits the victim from talking..fear of many valid consequences to the victim...most of all when the victim is victimized further from talking out ...
