Satmar Factions Rumble In Kiryas Joel–Again
Satmar News reports:
Today at 7 a.m. the aronim started digging at the rebetzin bihm”d in Kiryas Yoel, they took out the septic sewer tank and took down the staps, when a few yingeleit tried to stop the geneiva they were arrested and cahrged, one yingerman was transferred to hospital after he was beaten up by the well known “public safety” when hatzolah was called for the yingerman that was attacked by aronim/KJPS, they didn’t want to respond!!…
Four hasidim were arrested; one was hospitalized.

In fairness that video seemed more like a lame party than what I'd call "terror."

This isn't just a shanda for the goyim but a shanda for all of us. Hashem yirachem.

Besides it being a rather lame yelling match, it was an old video.
Anyway, it was nice to see some home grown stories here. Outside the "SMR show" virtually all stories were Israeli ones.

ROFL you gotta love the orthodox apologists who cite self control as a reason to follow halacha, so I guess satmar, extreme orthodox judaism must teach extreme self control. Right? ROFL ROFL ROFL!
These people are so recluse that they probably don't even have a forum for or even an understanding of discussing disagreements with words instead of violence. Such a forum is probably minimal at best, because rabbis like mind control.

Another bit of orthodox judaism propaganda that I love "Judaism is ALL ABOUT asking questions! The Gemara is FULL of questions! We love questions!" Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
There is a huge difference between questions of halacha that the Talmud asks and the questions of skeptics. One is allowed, the other gets someone blacklisted. Anyone care to guess which? XD

I can't wait for the orthodox apologist to come up here and say that skeptics are treated as equal members of the community. XD Suuuuuuuuuuuuuure. You can believe that. XD
Posted by: SJ | June 06, 2010 at 07:44 PM
So instead the orthodox apologists are gonna say that I'm a bigot of some sort (I am a Zionist) or that I have issues somehow, mentally, emotionally, or whatever; instead of saying the obvious supposed refutation that skeptics are indeed treated equally.
The reason why they can't say that skeptics are indeed treated equally is that it is such a b.s. story even for apologists. Too much b.s. to say with any kind of a straight face.

SJ you are 100% right. I have been saying that to my friends for years. I guess that is why in Yeshiva they did not like many of my questions and instead of giving me an answer they kicked me out of class numerous times and even one time called me an apikoros.
Well at least they got one thing right i am a proud apikoros now

Great PR for NY Jews especially when the world is watching Israel.

LOL Seymour, I'm a Christian now. XD Christian apologetics are lightyears ahead of orthodox jews.

Conservatives and Reform Jews should add "sheloh asani haredi" and "sheloh asani chosid" to their liturgy.

LOL Seymour, I'm a Christian now. XD
Out of curiosity, do you attend church every Sunday or is it a basically a once a year (Christmas) thing.

They need to learn how to keep a low profile up there in KJ. The heat must have gotten to the natives.

Organized religion isn't for me. I do believe in the Old Testament and the New Testament and that Jesus is יהוה in the flesh. I pray by myself though whenever I feel a need for it.
I never felt a point in sitting in a pew while I was Jewish (by the way I am Jewish ethnically and halachically), and I don't see a point in sitting in a pew now.
By the way, the New Testament is actually more pro-Jewish than orthodox social engineers will have someone believe, which is one of the reasons why I started to become comfortable with it.

Good for you! That’s really what its all about!
Most people are born into their religion and as long as they are faithful to their teachings (outside radical Muslims that believe that it is ok to kill) that is all that one can expect from them. My biggest problem is when people take the innocent masses and try to lump them into categories of good and bad. If an innocent frum child is brought into the world and tries to grow up with the values taught by his/her parents and teachers and grows up to be a ben/bas torah there is no reason why he/she should be lumped into the category of "them/those" %$#! Haredim etc... I have met far too many good people in my life to even begin to put the label of bad to groups. If anything I would have a hard time not putting a label of good to various ethnic groups (like Asians; I have met a bunch of nice one in school and at work). In fact the only group that I have had problems were Israeli’s (the ones that came to America from Israel, you know the reverse Aliya ones) and even those when you scratched their tough exterior you will usually find good in most of them (but you must scratch hard, more like dig).
Now if you look at other attributes that is another story. I have had dealings directly and indirectly with politicians and members of the press and find most of them to be loathsome lying creeps. It is absolutely frightening that these vermin have so much unchecked power.

I guess I need a google translator to decipher whatever the hell was that paragraph from Satmar News.
Seriously, I have seen some horrible grammar, spelling, and sentence structure on Hardedi websites and news services.

These folks obviously have too much time on their hands. Here's a thought, Government of Israel: WORKFARE. No money unless you give 40 hours a week to the state.
Maybe then, stupid stuff such as this will not evoke a riot.
