it should not be lost on anyone the devine providence of this date. the sentencing occurs on the 14 of iyar which is pesach sheni indeed an auspicious time for redemption and being set free

I think part of his incarceration should be spent in Guatemala doing community service.

without seeing the pre-sentencing report (psr), one must suspect that a fatico hearing to contest the psr will take place. this hearing could go on for weeks (months) depending upon what is contested. the longer the fatico hearing, the possibility of angering the court. after the hearing, the court will write it's sentence up, read it to Rubhaskin and because he remains in custody, will be delivered shortly to the BOP. It is during this time that his new home will be determined. There are many frumma Yidden at BOP Otisville, which is near non-lubavitch, but close to chassidic communities. Later on he might be transferred to BOP FOrt Dix in NJ. whatever happens, Hashem is the true judge.

why did it took solong to set up a sentencing date ?

i had the feeling they wanted to overwhelm
the judge with letters of support from politicians to get rubashkin a lighter sentence .
shame . i hope the jugde will be fair and sentence this bastard to a long jail sentence AND NO PROBATION .

and if he will ever have jail, it will be 2 years , which is nothing .
