Hirsch is a prominent defense attorney and a former New York State Assemblyman from Borough Park, Brooklyn.
Here he is on Zev Brenner's radio show with Uri L'Tzedek cofounder Shmuley Yanklowitz. Brenner does not mention Sam Hirsch's connection to Agri Star – even though I emailed him that information in the first couple minutes of the show.
Brenner also doesn't mention that the bank fraud started before the raid, even though I sent him that information, as well. Shmuly doesn't mention that, either.
Hirsch rants and raves – sometimes for minutes on end – attacks Yeshivat Chovevei Torah and Uri L'Tzedek, and is completely out of control. And then, after Brenned finally gains some control and moves to let Yanklowitz speak, Hirsch says he wants to go to sleep and just leaves the show.
There may be a gap in the audio between, I think, parts two and three. I'll try to correct this when Brenner posts his podcast later in the week.
Listen:
Previous Posts: Samuel Hirsch 1. Samuel Hirsch 2, Daniel Hirsch 1, Daniel Hirsch 2, Samuel and Daniel Hirsch, Father and Son.

Hirsch is an am ha'aretz, a moron, and his idiocy is evident whenever he opens his big mouth. If you are reading this, Hirsch- in the famous words of R' Jacob Neusner- DROP DEAD!

Tanya,
Stop being a jerk, and take your sarcasm and shove it. Go get a life. Go drink the kool aid and give half your paycheck (that is, if you don't collect welfare, drink coffee, smoke and pretend to learn gemara all day) to the crook fund, that is, only if you hear a schizophrenic voice from the Rebbe telling you that you should through letter divination. I am off to learn for my morning seder- Gemara Temurah, daf daled amud beis, Nach, Hilchos Geirus, Noam Elimelech, Tanya, and Mesillas Yesharim.

That Samuel Hirsch is the father of Daniel Hirsch, co-owner of Agri-Star, should give the citzens of Postville much pause.
To date, Daniel still has not met with the PCBA, after 4 letters to him, asking the same, went out in September; nor has HF had any personal communication of any sort with the Postville folks.

What's going on with this description of SMR's mistreatment in the South Dakota jail? Who was present to give these details?
Posted by: neighbor girl | November 15, 2009 at 12:09 PM
How did the ChabadInfo web site get all of these juicy details about Rubashkin's mistreatment if he wasn't able to make a phone call? This sounds like the made-up bull about Joseph I. Schneerson's imprisonment by the USSR. Please remember that all of the "mesiros nefesh" stories about gedol'im, rabbis, even "heroes" such as Rubashkin are always made to "tug at the heart" and have little basis in fact.

Just look at the banner at the top of the chabad.info website. Notice the 'yechi' statement and the photo of the Failed Messiah.
Any other questions about accurate reporting, bias, fantasy, and fiction writing?

These kind of Big Chabad "adolescent antics" will ultimatly backfire on them.
Basically, accusing the Federal Justice System of systematically mis-treating a Jewish prisoner, against fundamental policy, is very poor PR for SMR.
We should expect more of the same stupid things in the future.

The first thing I noticed is the "Click Here to Donate" link at the bottom of the page for the Pidyon Shvuyim fund. Just how Jerry Lewis used to bring up the holocaust during the Labor Day MDAA telethon.
Then, there is the issue of the legal dream team that did not prepare for the highly unlikely possibility that the jury would bring back any guilty verdicts. They should have informed the court of his dietary requirements in advance, should the impossible happen.
Then, his supporters are bitching about prison life. Well, maybe law enforcement doesn't want to say where they are taking a defendent after a guilty verdict to prevent supporters from attempting a "bust out". And the bitching about searching incoming prisoners? What about El Al Airlines going through your stuff? The prisons are not going to let you bring in food not sealed in a factory. Remember the cakes with files in them? Hey, this isn't the first time SMR was remanded in a jail or prison. You would think they knew the drill by now. With all the shelf stable foods with a Kosher certification service mark on it, the prison had to have something that could be eaten.
The real problem is that there are not enough Jews in South Dakota that commit crimes to give prison poficials experience with caring for Jewish prisoners.
What a crock.

Blames Leftists and "tree-huggers" huh?
Who exactly concocted the department of Homeland Security and ICE? Who rages against illegal aliens? What party does the anti-immigrant congressman who represents Postville hail from? Which party is always trying to enforce strict sentencing guidelines?
Hmm.. I wonder.

i like Mr Hirsch's statement that "no one desrfved to be indoicted on 100 counts of fraud".... One quesiton to Mr Hirsch.." how about someone who committed 100 counts of fraud ?
Secondly: stop with your excuses. Stop telling us that we dont understand the pressures of ebing in business. Many people are in comoetative bussinesses. Many have gone bankrupt due to their inability to overcome the compoetative pressures. Secondly, it appears to me that the rabbanut does a pretty good job assuring that "competition" is not a big issue in the Kosher Meat Business.
The Rubashkins did not just make mistakes... they are criminals ! Period. Was the leadership of Enron just a binch of silly men under pressure ? Let it go man.
