Hasidim Rumble In Mea Shearim
Report: Second Hakofa Violence an Inside Job
Yechiel Spira • YWN IsraelThe violence outside Toldos Aaron in Meah Shearim on motzei Simchas Torah, when second hakofos were taking place was not the act of outsiders, but the result of ongoing disputes, sinas chinam, within the community.
YWN spoke with source close to the Rebbe in the Toldos Aaron community, and has learned that tensions are mounting following the despicable acts of a few, one of whom who is already behind bars, a 20-year-old male. Reports indicated that the violence resulted in direct injuries to a number of people, not to mention the indirect injuries that resulted to a Bnei Brak man in his 50s, who was injured by police batons as he tried fleeing the area, seeking to distance himself from the acts of violence. He sustained a serious head injury.
YWN Israel has learned that one victim underwent surgery on a leg, and his injuries are not “minor” as first believed, but perhaps more serious is the reality that the incident may result in increased feuding between the rival factions of what was once a united chassidus.
YWN probed the matter and was told over and over again that the attackers who were outside the Toldos Aaron beis medrash on motzei yomtov were not outsiders, but known to the community and it has been learned that the perpetrators were sent by leading officials in the rival chassidus to create the disturbance, which resulted in injuries and a major chilul Hashem.
what a disgrace reform and conserv jews are. THESE are the ones practicing torah judaism. their rebbeim seem to have a good handle on what being a good jew means. if only they could have MORE children to ensure the continuity of authentic torah judaism.

why did the evil zionist nazi gestapo jerusalem pigs hit an older man in his 50's who was trying to get away from the rioting? this is proof that the jerusalem pigs are nazis.
good shabos. please do not reply to this until after shabos.

More likely he was trying to get away from the police because he was one of the rioters.

I kind of doubt it, effie. Press reports said he was trying to get away from the scene.

Mr. Apikoros: Reports? I've only found the one YWN item which is skimpy on the facts. I tried to find additional information via google and there is none. Do you know of any?

Reuven Sabel:
An "older man in his 50's"?
I am 53. I can outrun you (did the Boston Half-Marathon in 1:47) and can kick your pathetic pale yeshiva ass anywhere anytime.
Bring it on.
And as far as your disgusting description of the Jerusalem Police Force, I will kick your ass extra hard just because I feel like it. So there.
Do not reply to this until after davening. You'll need all the prayers you can.

I'm sure you can kick his butt and so can I, a dozen ways to Sunday. But the dude is obviously psychotic, and not really in control of his thought processes or words.
There are people who post here who are truly venal and excreable, but cut ol' RS a break, will ya?

In this country, there's something called the First Amendment which guarantees the right to practice, or not practice, one's religion as one sees fit. It even applies in Monsey, Kiryas Joel, New Square, Cedarhurst, Midwood, Williamsburg, and Crown Heights.
Got a problem with that?
Posted by: Mr. Apikoros | October 17, 2009 at 09:52 PM
so mr apiroris: are you telling me that your religion is to accuse radical religious fanatics of being psychotic?
Posted by: reuven sabel | October 18, 2009 at 01:41 PM
Hey, RS, I didn't call you a radical religious fanatic. You labeled yourself thusly.
You seem like a guy who was treated with anti-psychotics such as Thorazine, Stelazine, and Haldol, which do far more harm than good. I feel for you.
