Haredi Who Stripped To Protest Passover Hametz Sale Convicted
Court acquits Haredi man who stripped in public
Yael Levy • YnetThe Rishon Lezion Magistrates' Court acquitted Arieh Yerushalmi, an ultra-Orthodox man who stripped in a supermarket store during Passover, from charges of indecent assault in public, yet found him guilty of indecent conduct in a public place.
During Passover of last year, Yerushalmi entered a non-kosher supermarket chain store and stripped in protest of the store's policy to continue selling leavened food during the holidays. Yerushalmi claimed that according to the verdict given by the court in Jerusalem, the supermarket was not declared a public domain for the sale of matzot, and therefore his acts did not take place in a public domain either.
The court should fine him and have him
sit on a Raspberry syrup covered bench.
In his birthday suit....

Haredi power! I hope he appeals to the supreme court and they decide whether it is a public place (thus making the sale of hametz prohibited) or a non-public place (thus dropping the charge against the naked dude). No one needs conflicting rulings that are enforced selectively.

Is the sale of hametz regulated by civil law?
Either way, this man is mentally ill. By his picture, he looks like a BT.

Now what is meant by a "public place?" Isn't a supermarket a public place? Does this mean that bread can't be sold on the street during Passover, but it's OK to sell it in a supermarket?
Maybe the Vatican ought to go back to forbidding the eating of meat on Friday, and then the US government can pass a law forbidding the sale of meat on Friday and during Lent. Let's see how that would fly.
Next question: Can you buy a Big Mac in Israel? I didn't see a Mickey D there when I was last there in 1979 so I need to be educated on this.
Finally, if Lady Godiva rode naked down Dizengoff Street, I'd support her regardless of her cause.

In Jerusalem there're kosher Burger Kings on the Midrachov and at the Malhah Mall. McDeath's downtown is trefe.

Perhaps he simply forgot he didn't have his superhero suit on under his clothes?
Matzah Man! Protecting the innocent from chametz!
