A well deserved honor for Hella Winston.
As for the OU pulling hashgochos from restaurants that serve wine with live music, they are a bunch of hypocrites. They continue to certify Le Marais restaurant where the gentile chef was caught on numerous occasions violating kashrus laws. How can Le Marais be more kosher than this restaurant in Florida that serves wine with live music? And don't get me started with their continued "hashgocho" of Rubashkin.

The silver lining in this story is that Engleman is now just a regular Jew, and no longer a Hasid. Welcome to the 21st Century, Joel.
Joel got his civil suit in on time, and, from the story, it appears to me he has a strong case.
The real problem, to which I've alluded in other posts, is the pressure from the community not to rat these guys out; the community will take care business in their own way. That sure happened, didn't it?
Only when that Omerta mindset changes, and charges are brought against those who obstruct justice, will the problem diminish. It doesn't matter how long the window is that Markey proposes, nor how long someone has to file suit. They can wait until they're 88. They'll still be shunned by these Charedi bastards.
