The money comes from the bank, not the gov. I'll fix the post.

IF the company rehires you and IF the company keeps it word and IF it secures more money – yes.

isn't it always a bunch of "ifs" when it comes to rubbish! Hasn't everyone figured out by now that the people that have ruined your lives will continue if you let them? don't go back to work there. you are better off flipping burgers somewhere, and that is a fun job I used to do it. it is an honest paycheck.

how come its always those that are NOT employed by Agri are the ones saying : Dont go back to work? where are the workers themselves? what do they have to say? they will go back to work BECAUSE THEY WANT TO GET PAID

I hope the town of Postville at least send a grateful and appreciative letter to the people in Decorah whom have helped clean up Postville's mess through this terrible ordeal.

krewz,
didn't you read Shmarya blog of IF'S. Lets hope they do when they enter the building and NOT work 2 more weeks for free. I hope they hand them their checks and they turn around and leave.

[BECAUSE THEY WANT TO GET PAID]
Wanting does not make it so.

Personally, I would work in four-hour incraments. It would go something like this--Agriprocessors' Trustee pays me for four hours of work, I work for four hours . . .
At this point, I have trust issues.

You need to IMMEDIATELY file with the US Bankruptcy Court For Eastern NY.
Call your attorney.
Posted by: Shmarya | December 01, 2008 at 09:24 PM
Look at this claim form, then consult your attorney:

Good luck to all the former Agri workers. I hope you get paid soon, and get a decent position.

Yes indeed! I most certainly have & will extend a heart-felt thank you to the compassionate Decorah neighbors who provided food, shelter & transportation for the displaced workers. I will always cherish the memory of your response.

Decorah has good decorum.

They are compassionate to de core...

Christ in a fucking sidecar. Former Agri employees, maybe a SMALL fraction will get paid - the others? Why do you people continue to hold out hope for an impossibility from a conniving bunch of thieves? Give it up, it's a lost cause. You should have realized this long, long ago.

yidandahalf,
That's a new way of expressing frustration (your opening), at least in my book! ;-) Oh, my G-d!!!

Shame on you. Show a little respect please. I won't repeat what you posted. It is DEPLORABLE!

yidandahalf,
I haven't heard anything so funny since I left TX. However, your sense of humor seems to be the only sense you have.

I think everyone needs to take a long nap, then go straight to church.
I think that in the long run, it will be very hard for Agri to get many stable employees after what has happened. The best recovery option would be for some outside investors to buy Agri and then rename it, then they could maybe start getting back some good employees.
Getting back to full production will never happen as long as those involved are from the old crew of law breakers.
I think that the vast majority of people around this area are very fed-up with this company! It has brought the wrong kind of attention to this area, and has given onlookers a bad taste.
It is time to start over, and turn the page on Agri.
