Is that bottles of Mountain Dew and vodka on the tables? Guess they're planning on a long feisty celebration!

Looks like Getzel is continuing his role of non-spokesman spokesman with that obnoxious ear to ear grin. A zah schmaychel!

Archie,
You and Shmarya are on top of my invite list. I'll be working on the details with Rav Yudel.

If we can't get mug shots with arrest info below each picture, can we at least identify each of the perps and put a name below each pic?
I know, Shalom, Getzel and Zalman. Did I see Heshy in one of those shots?

Which one is Getzel?

looks like rubashkin's big bucks spent with menachem lubinsky and 5WPR were well spent. i'm sure this is a carefully orchestrated PR move

In UOJ's words, "a bunch of whiskered cows", similar to the twenty five "Gilligan's Island" paid junket fressers.

the release of a yid from jail is nice. but these photos if released to the debters and iowans getting screwed by agri could ignite anger and a backlash. it makes jews look insensitive and supports the notion of aloofness and lack of any accountabilty. alice in wondeland world in pville jewish community.

Shmarya should work with Stephen Bloom on a sequel to Postville: A Clash of Cultures in Heartland America. Once the place is shut down, it will easily classify as the biggest kashrus scandal in history. All the perpetrators of this massive scandal need to be exposed, from the owners to the "mashgichim, to the corrupt PR agencies, to the corrupt politicians and to the corrupt lawyers and journalists. It will be no. 1 on the best seller list.

We have to work very hard to overcome the evil inclination that is in all of us. I can't stand chutzpah, and I can't stand sly smirks and looks of having gotten one over on, that's how the pictures of the farbrengen look to me, like a bunch who look like they's gotten away with something. Whether or not the full extendt of the law is applied, there has got to be some learning taking place here. I hope that Rubashkin and friends learn from this embarrassing experience, embarrassing Jews like that. They should be ashamed of themselves!!. l

When the authorities in Iowa see this (and they WILL) they will gladly put unpaid overtime.

If Rubashkin owes you money, take a number:

Pictures like this will only harden the prosecutors and create antisemitism for other Jews that happen to live in the area!!!

No apology.
No regrets.
No remorse.
No saychel.

Steve, add to that the corrupt rabbonim who defended these thugs - some of them in the name of "halacha" and "Torah". they were worse than conservative rabbis in their mutilation of Jewish law to justify their unjustifiable positions.

yeah - Heshy once said something similar to me too. the arrogance is astounding. what i want to know is why heshy isn't being charged and arrested too. or is sholom the fall guy for tattie and heshy?

Give it time..The government will get the whole crew. They are just working their way up the ladder.

B"H
The Rebbe often encouraged people to make a seudas hodaah in advance of a complete deliverance as an expression of trust in G-d's salvation.
This is what I think Rubashkin is doing not simply celebrating being let out on bail which was something to be expected.

as if the pictures weren't enough, you can also watch a video of this celebration, which shows sholomo rubashkin and friends dancing, singing, and drinking in celebration:

any guesses after seeing these photos why some individuals in Worthington, Mn. were not about to let this family take over the former Campbell soup food precessing facility there?

+++The Rebbe often encouraged people to make a seudas hodaah in advance of a complete deliverance as an expression of trust in G-d's salvation+++
There's a story I recall- a Lubavitcher charged with a serious felony and about to stand trial. The Rebbe's advise to him was "...cut off your beard and remove your hat and yarmulke. Do not drag them into the mud with you..."
The Rebbe's advice of a seudas hodaah was meant to encourage faith when your legal cause has merit, when you are the victim of an injustice or a crime, or you are hoping for a successful medical outcome of an operation. It was not meant to celebrate getting away with something, or hoping you will.
The Rebbe would never have allowed the Rubashkin Crime Family to have any sway in Lubavitch, and would never have given countenance to their seedy businesses.
Sadly, the Lubavitch organization is now run by a committee of amateurs.

What's with the baseball cap?

People are shocked at the celebratory approach of Rubashkin and his supporters, but NOBODY is even remotely surprised that Shmarya is "Dancing on the Ceiling" with a smirk that makes Getzel look like he is in aveilus. Why not? Because Shmarya is as transparent as Peta.

they should should sit shivah, not have a party.
they embarrassed all the jewish people, they served us all treyf, they violated their workers and owe people millions.
shame on them. lubavitch has no leadership, and what they have is morally corrupt.
Im sure the dvar torah given at this party went on for 30 minutes, was incomprehensible except for repeating over and over Hashem loves the Rubashkins and will surely help them triumph over their enemies.
Posted by: critical_minyan | November 02, 2008 at 09:41 AM
These Rubbishcans should leave their yiddish bubble and come among the goyim and experience anti-semitism at its finest, NOW, TODAY, AS IT'S PLAYED IN A THEATRE NEAR YOU. Is it possible they would then get a fucking clue?
Posted by: yidandahalf | November 02, 2008 at 10:48 AM
Not only the hat, YL, what about the plastic over the windows?
Posted by: yidandahalf | November 02, 2008 at 10:49 AM
Perhaps what is most disturbing is that they videotaped and photographed the whole party.
I am sure other thugs, such as mafia and drug dealers, commiserate with their cronies when they are released on bail, and share a drink.
But to make a video, and proudly post it on the internet?
Posted by: WoolSIlkCotton | November 02, 2008 at 11:02 AM
Don't worry, soon it will become another official Chabad holiday commemorating someone sprung from jail, celebrated with mandatory videos, vodka, and "farbrengens" at local Chabad houses, particularly the very many that are almost entirely funded by Rubashkin's network and distributors.
Plan for next year's Bayz Cheshvan celebrations!

do any of the Postville volunteer fireman regret having hosed down the propane tank at Iowa Turkey Products (which was next to Agri) when the turkey plant was on fine?

"This is what I think Rubashkin is doing not simply celebrating being let out on bail which was something to be expected.
Posted by: Ariel Sokolovsky"
He's expecting a complete deliverance? His company is being picked apart, piece by piece, day by day: no customers, no creditors, an unpaid $35 million loan, a $10 million fine, millions in legal fees, arrests, charges, trial dates...the only deliverance will be when the whole place is gone and the chillul Hashem ends.
Posted by: shmuel | November 03, 2008 at 07:53 AM
After watching the video I have the following questions:
1) Is the old man in the lower right hand corner a member of the Moose Lodge?
2) Is Getzel the little kid in the blue shirt?
3) Are they playing musical chairs?
4) Did Mr. Rubashkin purchase the baseball cap at the jail's gift shop?
Posted by: Carol-Ann | November 06, 2008 at 04:12 PM
Well...I guess my attempts at humor fell as flat as leftover Mountain Dew.
Still, the hat issue is perplexing.
Posted by: Carol-Ann | November 07, 2008 at 07:34 PM
See the Hasidim?
You see them'
I see them too
Chabad claims to raise thousands of dollars to help Katrina victims, but refuses to help their own victims.
Chabad is so disgraceful--I wish they would create a new religion on the moon.
