ROTFL! Palauans Promised Fair Treatment At Agriprocessors By None Other Than…
If this wasn't such a serious issue, I'd still be laughing. You just can't make this stuff up. The Rubashkins are their own best parodies, as you can…
…see in this quote:
…While in Postville the Palauan officials — Schmull, Palau Ambassador to the U.S. Hershey Kyota and Counselor for the Palau U.N. Mission Christopher Kitalong — toured the processing plant, met with Moshe Rubashkin (son of company founder Aaron Rubashkin) and Postville Mayor Bob Penrod. The group also met with Webster Franz, the coordinator for the Palau workers at the plant.
“As minister of State, it is my duty and responsibility to ensure that every Palauan citizen that has been recruited to work in your processing plant is treated fairly under U.S. labor laws,” Scmull told Rubashkin.
Rubashkin responded that “he would do unto others as he would have them do unto him.”…
That's right, folks.
Two time convicted felon Moshe Rubashkin, a man who is due to be sentenced in early November for his latest federal felony, promised Palauans fair treatment.
Moshe Rubashkin has long criminal history. He served federal time for bank fraud. And he defrauded the EPA and the city of Allentown out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Trust Moshe Rubashkin? Trust any Rubashkin?
Caveat emptor. Worker emptor. And, in this case, and entire country emptor.
What, he's bored in B'klyn and went out to Postville? This is beyond hysterical. The Rubbishcans seem to have no idea how they look to the world. This one will be hard for them to ever top, it truly defies belief.
But while we wait for their next act what is Heshey up to? And why can I not shake this gut suspicion Petzel Boy was more of his creature all along than the Golem's? That Heshey is a slippery one.

Webster Franz had previously told a Micronesian newspaper that he was no longer getting involved in Agri recruitment after he heard all the Rubashkin horror stories. He's another farce.

Excuse me but I'm trying to understand all this. Why in the world would Mayor Penrod visit Agri? Hasn't this company RUINED Postville enough? Can't this mayor see how ridiculous this is to the citizens of Postville? Whom is catering to whom? I'm sure the Rubushkins aren't going to tell them they will end up screwing the new employees. This is better than a soap opera, unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe bob and webster should go to jail with all the others.

Or maybe on balance Agri is good the town's permanent residents and maybe the Paluans won't be ripped off this time, that they'll be supervised by homeboys.

Hard to imagine that Agri would be good to anyone. Many citizens have or in the process of taking the fall for this company, while they are intelligent enough not to have their names tied to anything illegal. Agri is NO good to this town, because they have brought us down by association with them. There has never been any apoligies for any wrong doings to any citizen of this town. It's kinda of like young kids hanging around with the wrong crowd, the association alone makes the name bad. The leaders of this community need to start asking "hard" questions instead of running tail.

Remember back when, before May 12, there'd be a slow news day from time to time? :)

They are soon to take the big plunge and never get up again. It always ends like this. Before the final fall they become ever more brazen. I wish they would all come out for one last bow here so we can have some fun with them. Shandas of the Jewish people - that's how you will be remembered, Rubbishclan. How does it feel?

Mayor Penrod is trying to protect a company which was an economic engine in the northeast corner of Iowa. A lot of money generated by Agri flowed through the banks in this tiny town and a lot of people used salary income to buy groceries, medicine, hardware - you name it - in this town and in this area. Penrod is scum and some people in town think his relationship to those involved in this scandal is more then meets the eye. That said, what he is doing now is what any good mayor would do - try and save as many jobs as he can so the town can continue to exist. But he has already failed. His best bet is to put his efforts into attracting another firm to open shop in Postville. Maybe turn the whole town into a giant wind farm. That way they'll generate something other then scandal.

Maybe Moshe was in Postville because he wanted to check if Palau has an extradition treaty with the US.

Shmarya, I'm hurt. I thought I made the best parodies ;-)

If Moshe is indeed in Postville, could he have any worse timing? There is a car arson incident under investigation in Postville, at the present time. Some people believe the fires were set with the intention of silencing potential witnesses. I won't cast a judgment, but this does not look good. I'm sure this has crossed the minds of other people as well. I rather doubt that Moshe would be involved, given the circumstances of what he already has to face.

If Mr. Rubashkin said he would do something, I think it is our obligation to believe him.
He is, after all, a heimeshe.

I never made the connection that the car burning/s happened when Moshe was in town! Maybe someone will e-mail Shmarya a digital photo of one of the cars. / Did not realize there was a new church in Postville, in wherever the Ro-ka development is. //In October, possibly the 23rd, ICE court interpreter Erik Camayd-Freixas will give a talk at Luther College about the Postville immigration raid. There are youtube clips of him speaking.

Just released ,that the May raid on Agriprocessors cost the taxpayers 6.1 million and still costing as they are just now deporting those that did 5 months in prison. What did they accomplish if the Federal Government won't go after the companies that hire them.I beleive a 7 million dollar fine would be about right for Agriprocessors.
