oh now shmarya,love the article but we usually don't demonise others.just you.as for natural tribalistic tendencies.family,far family,religion,race,language,ect.i would say just another tool created in man by the creator to be used for good or evil.i'd also venture the pentagon is king at useing this.you decide for good or evil.the rest of the world being no better.how do use use yours?

Obviously I take offense at this.

I take offense at the OMG-level bigotry expressed by the shaliach, and at the fact that he is a head shaliach -- 2.2% of American Jews are black, doing the math this is, in theory, 132,000 American Jews any given year that he would flatly dismiss as being unfit to marry his daughter.

OK, so we are treated to an anecdote of a Shliach displaying mild negativity, and I do mean mild. But why this completely unsupported conjecture that there is a deep seated demonisation of the "Other". Jumping to a conclusion, without appeal to evidence or intuition, the statement is served up as self-evident.
