I think this story is bullshit.there isn't a mohel in the world who will circumsise a baby with hepatitis.the more chareddi the mohel, the longer they wait for the hepatitis to clear up.

who says that he knew the baby had hepititis?

I guess the mohel was hoping no one would notice the slip of the knife? The point of the story here is not that the parents are brainwashed to think the custom is more important than their baby's health, which they are, but that the mohel would have to have been an idiot not to notice what he did - and yet he just walked out as if nothing bad had happened! That's their morality for you. "Oops, I maimed this child for life - hopefully, they won't figure it out until after I'm gone."

This is badly translated. Hepatitis should read "jaundice", a fairly common condition for newborns.

"And the mohel? I think he needs to find another line of work."

At the very least, he should get no tip.

if they will put it back, will the kid need another cut.
btw, how was the metzitza.

>"Oops, I maimed this child for life - hopefully, they won't figure it out until after I'm gone."

That makes no sense. Mohels don't disappear off the face of the earth after a brit. There are followup phone calls, perhaps a visit to check the how the baby is healing.

The parents thought they were hiring a "mohel" but they were hiring an imposter named Moe Ayle.

Listen to the truth as it was before truth became too inconvenient for Agudah.
