This picture from Chabad.info shows women in the Lubavitch main synagogue in Brooklyn, 770 Eastern Parkway, at the recent International Convention of Shluchos (the wives and daughters of Chabad rabbis worldwide). The sign hanging at the back of the picture reads: "Long Live Our Master Our Teacher Our Rabbi King Messiah Forever And Ever." These women are part of the so-called "anti-messianist" Chabad camp.

Lets presume the sign reflects a minority in Lubavitch. But what led a significant minority in this group to beleive in this. Are there similiar signs in the BM of R. Chaim Berlin proclaiming Rabbi Hutner as messiah. Are there signs like this in Ger, Belz, Bobov ?? The fact that signs like these hang at all is very disturbing without regard to the percent of CH people who beleive in it.

I was at that program in 770. It was the closing ceremony for the weekend-long Bais Rivka high school convention. There were two speaches and two short videos. Despite the fact that we were surrounded by Yechi signs there wasn't any attempt by the speakers to force meshichist shtus on us. Even though there is alot of problems with Chabad today there is also so much beauty to the movement and I think thats what myself and all the other girls and women who were there that weekend tried to focus on.

Rivka, look up the word "compartmentalize" (or "compartmentalization".. your a sweet soul, and I'm sure you mean well, but umm, what exact "beauty" are you talking about? and I'm referring to ch---d philosophy.
