Gil Student continues to descend further into haredi madness. For those tracking the NYU Rebbe conference (post 1, post 2, post 3 – same graphic for each post) you may want to keep in mind that the first rabbi to tout Gosse's 1857 theory of a world created old, with fossils implanted in the earth, etc., was Menachem Mendel Schneerson. As Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan noted, there is no classical Jewish source to support Gosse's theory and, worse yet, it makes God a liar.

We note that the Rambam in Moreh Nevuchim had the opportunity to use a Gossean answer in apologetics many times and never did.

Awful. So many people have this guy on their links page. And he is just another Dinosaur Denier. Or Dinosaur Doubter. Great.

Gil is proof that blogs are better off anonymous. He is running scared of whatever discrediting cherem might be coming down the pike at any time.
He is somewhere between cross-currents and godol, but unfortunately is a lot closer to cross-currents since he censors people like you and mis-nagid.
He is clearly afraid of certain ideas. Gosse theory is a joke, but let's face it, Gil believes in the oral law and the divine authorship of the torah, so none of this should be too surprising.
Keep up your good work. Those chabadnicks are even more nuts than Gil's theories of scientific evidence!

Update- he deleted a post of mine which pointed out the foolishness of Gosse theory. I'm not officially banned, but that isn't very open-minded.

I once had an email chat with Gil - when he asked me to link his site on mine. We talked about his book on the Rebbe and I told him that I thought he took metaphorical teaching too literally and literal things allegorically.
B'kitzur - I asked him whether the 'mountain' talked about in Chullin 7b 'coming up between' Rabbi. and R. Phinehas in was a real Mountain? he said YES and went on to talk about how big it was...! I said, sorry, you're not an exlubi or a lubi, and you're really stupid - NO you can't have a link!
