Kashrut Alert
According to an e-mail just received from Rabbi Yudel Shain:
The Mezonos Maiven wholesale bakery in Brooklyn under the "OK" & Hisachdus was caught by a group of frum yidden operating on Shabbos Parshas Shoiftim (Sept. 10th) at 6:30 PM.
Consult with your local rabbi regarding any possible kashrut concerns or questions regarding kaylim. Check with the OK to determine the veracity of the report. (Realize there are ways for a kosher bakery to operate on Shabbat, and Mezonos Maven may have arranged this with the OK. Your local rabbi should be able to determine if this arrangement had been made.)
Big deal. The Genuardi's grocery "OK" meat at Wynnewood PA, is dripping with blood more than the three days allowed per halacha, is labelled "salted and rinsed" hahaha, and not one "Rav" here gives a d*mn
OK is worthless
Please someone sue

It seems to be dripping in tzir, not in blood. Look in hilkhot melikha and see.

I should clarify:
What comes out of the meat after it has been salted for the required time period and then rinsed is called tzir. Tzir is not considered blood and is completely kosher (although almost everyone would throw out any tzir before cooking).

Herman,
Ever heard of a shmuck? Go check your Jewish dictionary for a definition. Then look in the mirror to see one for yourself.
