An event marking 30 years of Ethiopian Jewish aliya is being held tomorrow in Israel. Meanwhile, Falash Mura are on a hunger strike protesting Israeli broken promises and foot-dragging.

Shmarya, you were instrumental in the efforts to rescue Ethiopian Jewry. Are you going to be at the event? If not, why not? Didn't they send you an invitation? If not, why not?

It seems nobody from Operation Moses days is being featured. Also, the major movers behind Operation Solomon are missing: Susan Pollak and US Senator Rudy Boschwitz. But all these people were part of or close to the American Association For Ethiopian Jews, not NACOEJ, so my guess is the reason behind their absence is political.

What I suspect is the usual happening:
