Ha'aretz: Chabad Urges Police, Army To Disobey Orders
Ha'aretz reports:
Right-wing activists who oppose the disengagement plan have phoned dozens and perhaps hundreds of cellular phones owned by policemen, as part of the campaign to foil the pullout.
Beginning early Sunday morning many policemen serving around the country, including some in the Gush Katif area, reported receiving a phone call from someone who identified himself as a Jewish resident of New York, asking them not to take part in the evacuation.
"Someone called me and said: Hello, this is Moshe from the Jewish community in New York," a policewoman who received a call told Haaretz. "He added that he hoped I wasn't planning to take part in what he called 'the terrible disaster' that will take place on Wednesday. A Jew doesn't evacuate a Jew, he said. Tell the policemen to refuse orders."
When the policewoman tried to find out how the caller had gotten hold of her unlisted number,he refused to say and repeated his request. When she insisted she had no intention of refusing her orders, the caller said, "then say you have a headache, that you can't do anything." Three other policemen in her unit received the same type of call, with the caller identifying himself either as a member of the Jewish community or a member of the Chabad (Lubavitcher) Hasidic community in New York. Dozens of other soldiers reported similar calls.
Over the past few days policemen slated to take part in the evacuation received letters with entreaties by opponents of the pullout not to take part in it.
"We are stubborn people, it won't end in a day, nor in two weeks ... We won't give in because we are sure justice is on our side. We won't commit crimes, but want to prevent a crime and disaster in Gush Katif. You don't have to say you will refuse, you can just act dumb, be lazy...," said one of the letters signed "with love from the Jewish Heart Campaign."
a bunch of melbourne lubie rabbis took out a full page ad in the melbourne edition of the australian jewish news, vilifying sharon and those who would be moving the settlers. such langauge was used that the australian and nsw south wales' state zionist council bureaucrats took the rabbis to task, reminding them that no one wanted to be responsible for inciting another rabin-like murder.
as much as i think the disengagement is a bad idea (think bad parenting: a big reward for very bad behavior) i think that it is a worse idea for rabbis to encourage soldiers to disobey orders and even, kill politicians, in the name of g-d.

And what prevents some schmuck from calling and saying he is from NYC Chabad when he is really a Shabak plant or just plain schmuck sitting in Tel Aviv? Haaretz is a hateful rag and is guilty of incitement against the religious and the right.

Enough Lufthansa
Very simply it ain't so .
Now Chabad are the honest heroes and the Israeli government are the bad guys ?
Allow me to thwow up .
Apart from propagating heresy discord and inter jewish strife , what is Chabad's contribution to the existence or security of the state of Israel . The Rebbe hamanoach never stepped there nor left a will to be buried there . Guznick is happy piling up millions in Australia.
Ask Chabadniks , they will be proud that they have called from New York . from sar far away . This is their contribution .

Firstly, it's clearly evident that you are one sided and biased against chabad either way, albeit this article wasn't cruel like your others. If disengament is wrong, don't kid yourself with finding justice for it or saying that oposition is fine so long as its not from Chabad. Everyone knows how active Chabad is in preventing this horrible atrocity. You're quick and easy at blasphaming Chabad, but when they succed you seek to steal the credit or thwart it from them. In none of Chabad's anti disengament decelrations does it call for any sort of violence or heaven forfend indicate any thought of even assasinating anyone, period. Chabd call for brotherly love. Ostensibly, certain factions of society (ehem) can't tolerate Ahava Yisroel, and all they live for is strife and contention. Sinas Chinam is wrong, stop patronizing it! Fabricating lies about Chabad and it's revered Rebbe is malicuous, dirty and pure sinat chinam.

"i think that it is a worse idea for rabbis to encourage soldiers to ... kill politicians, in the name of g-d."
This is baloney. The Melbourne psak said nothing of the sort, and those editorials were nothing but a craven distortion by the Australian Jewish News to discredit halacha.
