Iowa Court Rejects Rubashkin Wastewater Discharge, Voids Permit
Radio Iowa reports:
A wasterwater discharge permit issued to a Postville business has been thrown out in court. A Polk County District Court judge has reversed the permit issued to AgriProcessors of Postville by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. The judge says the [Iowa] D-N-R violated state law in granting two variances from water quality regulations.…
Meanwhile, the EPA and the US Department of Justice continues with their suit against AgriProcessors for intentional violations of the clean water act.
And, just think: The Rubashkin family, despite all its criminal and antisocial activities, is still a pillar of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.
That speaks volumes for what Chabad theology really means.
Humanity would be very well served if Hashem, in his infinite mercy, could somehow inspire or otherwise utilize human intervention to put all Rubashkin animal based enterprises out of business permanently. These are a flagrant blight on Torah True Judaism.
Also needed is a serious effort by the Orthodox Rabbinic leadership in this country to work to eliminate cruelty on factory farms and to support expansion of humanely raised and slaughtered meat operations such as Rosenblatts', Blackwings Kosher Bison and other similar operations.
