Mayor: City To Bill Rubashkin For "Excessive Resources" Needed To Put Out Mill Fire – Building's Code Violations Contributed To Blaze

Allentown mayor Roy Afferbach told reporters that the city intends to bill Skyline Industries (a.k.a. Rabbi Moshe Rubashkin, the newly-elected head of the Crown Heights Community Council and brother of AgriProcessors Rabbi Sholom M. Rubashkin) for the cost of the "excessive resources" needed to douse the Montex Textiles blaze. The building's many code violations and deplorable condition made fighting the fire much more difficult – and dangerous – than normal. Allentown might have trouble collecting – Skyline Industries is listed by New York State as an inactive corporation.

So? Rubashkin is a crook. There are plenty of crooks everywhere, from j4j to Satmar. The CHJCC is not much of an organization anymore these days, and Rubashkin has no real power.
