Aaron & Moshe Rubashkin Took Union Dues From Employees – Kept The Money For Themselves

In a sharply-worded decision, both Rabbi Moshe Rubashkin and his father Aaron (of Postville fame) were found guilty by the National Labor Relations Board of repetitively collecting union dues from their employees of Cherry Hill Textiles, Inc. and then refusing to turn over those dues to the union. 

Rabbi Moshe Rubashkin later served a term in Federal prison for bank fraud and was released from prison one year ago.

Aaron Rubashkin's slaughterhouse in Postville, Iowa – run by two of his sons, Rabbi Sholom M. Rubashkin and Rabbi Heshey Rubashkin along with other members of the Rubashkin family – is currently under investigation for alleged violations of the Humane Slaughter Act, was previously fined by the Federal government for failing to pay ranchers  for cattle, and is also under investigation by the Environmental Protection Agency for alleged violations of the Clean Water Act.

Aaron Rubashkin's son-in-law, Rabbi Milton Balkany was charged with misuse of almost $1,000,000 in Federal funds meant for disabled children.

Rabbi Moshe Rubashkin was elected president of the government-funded Lubavitch-controlled Crown Heights Community Council earlier this year.

I hate to say it, but the good people of Postville, Iowa were sitting ducks. I suspect that their experiences have given them a rude awakening regarding Jews.

I propose that the chickens destined for the Saturday night kosher tables are mad at the woof and warp of Jews and the non-Jews alike. The chickens have been humiliated and mistreated for many years and their crime was either they were not Jewish enough, or they were defenseless.

If G-d out of so many different animals and similes chose the chicken to exemplify himself then I think we should treat chickens with a great deal of reverence. I agree with what you are saying about the Rubatchkins plant. I was as a Mashgiach in a kosher butcher section of a store and we used to recieve green spoiled chicken from rubatchkins with experation dates that were still good for 2 more weeks. When you would complain to them they would not care. I talk to one of the shochet from the plant and he said the shechitah was horrible. And for those of you that defened Chabad Just a Reminder that each Chabad house is different. But I have seen the Corruption First handed. Ask yourself for the millions that each Chabad house pulls in every year, HOW MUCH TORAH DO THEY REALLY TEACH??? I see very minimum. There out reach bearly makes anyone trully frum.

I was told to look at this site because of the awful talk about these guys and the trouble at the slaughterhouse. There seems to be too much smoke over these guys that I'm not convinced they're innocent and am troubled at their ethics. And based on this, I personally choose not to buy their products. Interesting finding your website. I remember you from Morristown about 16 years ago. You have many talents and much energy. I remember then you had great problems connecting with others, i.e., social interaction problems. I worked at Agriprocessors before i was laid off. I live 20 miles away and know first hand the kind of criminals the Rabashkin family are. I didn't have long employment there, but was long enough to see Sholom personally give orders to "RE-DATE" MEAT that was so far outdated and green in color, that I wouldn't of fed the meat to my dog!! He would have it "RE-DATED" to a more recent kill and experation date, so it would look like fresh kill dates. He wouldn't pay the bill for drinking water, so the only water we had to drink was out of the hand sinks that automatically came out to be warm to hot water. Undrinkable!! No drinking water for months!! The fresh kill beef carcuses went right past the garbage disposal area, no more than 6 foot from all the days rotten meats and garbage sat,flies infesting the meat as the beef would be left right there by the garbage hanging from hooks!! The place was never sanitary, as kosher meat would fall on the floor, and not be sanitized, but used again. Watching Rabbi's just take a marker and sign there name to a crate of meat, but not bless it like they should. I watched Kosher and non-kosher meats get mixed and the Rabbi's not care, and let the product go threw. This place does not run in the kosher law, but actually against it. As long as Sholom and Heshy make there money, they dont care how the Kosher procedure goes!! And by the way all the employees they tried to stiff,but yet Sholom had 10 million dollars to offer to the courts for bail, so he could be released? Try to take care of your employees Sholom, before you take care of yourself!! Great people huh? I watched the whole town of Postville, IA suffer because of the Rabashkin's shady dealings. And I was there when the company brought in all the people from Palou. The Rabashkin's knew they were in a deep financial crisis and yet they brought these workers in from Palou, a island next to Guam, Only to leave them stranded with a bounced paycheck in there hands, and a stressful worry on how there going to get back Home!! Yes all you Defenders of the Rabashkin family, you are blinded.. There lying to you jews to. They sell you rotten, and non-kosher meats to..
