New CRC-Supervised Texas-Based Glatt Kosher Beef Production
A new glatt kosher beef producer has opened in Texas:
The puzzled ranchers, all devout Christians, didn't know that "glatt" was Yiddish for "smooth," the highest quality of kosher beef. Then the rabbis broke into smiles needing no translation.
Grass-fed, hormone and antibiotic-free glatt kosher beef is also available.
You can read all about it here.
You can visit Texas Kosher Beef here. (No word yet on the type of pen or restaining device used.)

>Soon his arm was elbow-deep inside the cow inspecting
>the lungs. Any defect, such as an adhesion, could
>render an animal non-kosher under Jewish law.
>"Glatt!" he squawked after a couple of minutes.
Uh, what about Bedikas Hutz (inspection of organs after removal)? He only did a Bedikas P'nim here (in situ inspection). I hope this only represents journalistic license and is not reflective of the actual procedures followed at this facility.

BTW, the cRc is supervising this production. The cRc was one of the organizations endorsing the defense of Rubashkin against the PETA campaign.

Among the signatories is:
Rabbi Gedalia Dov Schwartz
Head of Beth Din
Chicago Rabbinical Council
So, isn't the cRc tainted by association with Rubashkin's violations of TzLB"H? What makes them acceptable as an acceptable oversight authority now?

Yea, Scott, CRC still stands by Rubashkins? NU?!?
There is no reason to his stupidity...I wonder if he'd eat at the table of Rabbi Menachem Meir Weissmandl, Rabbi Aaron Teitelbaum, Rabbi Moshe Heinemann, Rabbi Yitzchok Stein, Rabbi Asher Hatchuel, and on and on. All of which certify Rubashkins.

CRC would be acceptable. Although they 'stood' with the establishment in defending Rubashkins. Now they might see that if a animals were treated in a humane way-and advertized that fact- then there would be a marketing advantage.

One wonder's what actually has occurred behind the curtains at Agriprocessors. I suspect OU, CRC, and other groups smacked them hard in private even while forming ranks for the predictable public show of unity and support. Yawn - who do these guys think they're kidding? The true disappointment is the brain-dead local orthodox rabbis who have been mouthing their OU talking points to me every time I press them to question their masters on this issue. Are they spineless cowards, fools, or both - I wonder which worries me more?

> CRC would be acceptable.
Why? All I have is your say-so, which is no better than their own or Shmarya's for that matter. Purely self-serving.
Again, the cRc put their name and reputation in the Rubashkin/OU/KAJ camp by endorsing the letter I linked above. THAT puts them SQUARELY on the side of the throat-rippers; the wrong side of this issue according to the owner of this site. Why are they an allowable oversight authority all of the sudden?
>Now they might see that if animals were treated in a

You do not see any such indication in this advertisement. All we have is "Grass Fed", "No Growth Hormones" etc. From where can we infer the "animals were treated in a humane way-and advertized that fact"?
